uhm what the heck is wrong with olympus 32?

its basically just CoD,

meaning no flags or objectives or anything, just people spawning and shooting at each other. that doesnt seem right?
I do bad things to the BF2 engine.

"i cant hear my friends in ts" blabla - how do you think the real deal played out? When a plane flew by you didnt hear much else, nor did the pilot... Stupid complain. Thanks devs! <3

I think, the most improved part are the changes on old maps. Especially Operation Cobra looks fantastic. And the lighting has taken a huge step forward. Also like the bike animation.

The new sounds used on lighter tank guns (ie. 2 Pounder) are louder and "stronger" than the old ones still used on larger guns (Sherman 75mm). Feels weird.
-A certain plumber took 'shrooms when he failed to rescue his girlfriend from being raped by a gorilla. His whole experience was documented in a game.

10k (Ten thousands) tickets on Anctoville 16 is "a little bit" too much. It seems ticket bleed script is broken on this map.

I think it takes 10minutes to bleed away all tickets once the middle flag is taken.

I played that map with 8-10 other players just now. The middle flag constantly changed hands. After ~30 minutes both Germans and Allies still had 9600-9800 tickets left.

Maps with 9999 tickets are king of the hill mode.
Bleed is very fast. 10 tickets per second or so.

If the bleed is slower you might have to contact the server admin cause python is probably not working.

I checked Anctoville 16 on local server (no files are modified). When the middle flag is captured by British, German bleed speed is 1 ticket per 6 seconds. 9999*6/60/60 = 16.6 hours to bleed.

EDIT: There's no bleed plugin for size 16 in Anctoville's mapdata.py. Only for sizes 64 and 32.

Yep it's a bug. It's already reported and fixed internally. This can likely easily be put on a server fix and released to the servers.

Anctoville's objectives were bugged today. The first barrier was destroyed correctly, but when we destroyed the second, its marker disappeared (as it should) but the first one's appeared again.
The first 88 gun's marker wouldn't go away after destruction either, and the game was stuck like this. We went on to the next map with voting.

Also, Sidi had what some people said was a feature and some others said was a bug: upon capturing the last flag before the US base, the german team got it's starting tickets back, while the US's started to drain slowly.


Love both maps though, guess the bugs came from the server (was on 762).
We really need more objective based modes.

This is a feature.  The more kills the US suffers in the attack, the more tickets they receive for the counterattack.  Generally speaking, this means that if the German team quickly caps all the flags, their success isn't punished by then having to fend off the US team for ages during the counterattack phase, and vice versa, if the US hold out for a long time, they aren't punished with a really short time to counterattack.
