The whole model is in the same file.
You just have different meshes for your textures.

You could even put everything on one texture, and it would still be working in Bf2.
Like i did for Rising Storm, but this was a static anyway.

Suspension is attached to the main model, only wheels and tracks have another texture.

Did you ever check out a FH2 Vehicle and its textures? This would have been an clever idea, because you would have seen how we did it.

You could even texture everything on one texture, if it comes to modeling it´s not important how you do it.
If it comes to how we did it, it´s mainbody on one texture, wheels and tracks on another.

Yes, the heat from the exhaust kills the paint on those panels. Iirc you have to put new ones on it from time to time cause of rust.

Often the vehicles and weapons have the same polycount as back in beginning of FH2.

There is just a "new" (since it´s allready older) technic called normal map baking from high to low poly.
That´s what makes Lowpoly models look more roundish and soft, sometimes also wrong looking to me.
It also supports AA, models look sharper and better rendered on distance.

We did that for some newer Models too, like the LA 5 FN, Marder III M, IL2 and Mp34 for exsample.
But BF2 is a weak engine if it comes to normals and light.
The MP34 would look similiar to those weapons from traction wars, it has atleast the same quality.

Wet and dirty, wohooo i expect brits with tits for some reasons!!!!  ;D

The 3P aircraft model was started on the 28.08.12 and it was done on the 12.06.2013.
I started the texture on the same day, and saved the latest PSD, including just the russian textures on the
31.08.2013.

So it took me one year to finish it. :P

That´s also caused by different things, first i was very busy with school.
Second is i wasn´t amazed by the task  ;D, not as much as i was with the Marder III M.
Third is I´m not used to model aircrafts. This is maybe the fifth aircraft i finished and the first i did for FH2.

I think it would be fair to say it can take 4-5 man days to finish the outer model.
That means 4 or 5 x 8 hours = 32 our 40 hours.
+
The same amount of time for the interior, good that Fred supported me with that very well.

Maybe the Panzer F2 to be, what he is anyway an Panzer IV G, so he could be used on European maps.

I´m in love with Toddels Tiger, maybe he could get another camo for another map, but i don´t see any need of reworking or fixing those textures.

From time to time we update our textures, create new camos or add new markings for new factions.
Some off those updates we wanna show in this thread.

Lately we altered the Stug IV texture and also added some new camos and a version without zimmerit.
That was needed, because the original texture was to bright compared with other German Vehicles.
For sure no original texture gets lost, we backup all our files, also the original psd files.

Some historical background on German camouflage:

In popular culture, most German tanks are shown painted in grey, which makes for great visual symbolism, since grey is the perfect colour for an oppressive, joyless, totalitarian enemy. You can also find grey (or panzergrau) Panzers on the FH2 map Mount Olympus and if you look closely you can see the grey paint under the sand camouflage on our Africa maps. In the beginning of 1943, together with the start of total war and the switch to a war production of military vehicles, the base colour applied to German tanks in the factory was switched to yellow (dunkelgelb).
The units on the frontlines received green (olivgrün) and brown (rotbraun) colours and were instructed to use these to camouflage their tanks to their liking. For winter warfare they were issued with water soluble whitewash. In fact, if you look closely at German vehicles on our Ardennes maps, you can make out the autumn yellow green brown camouflage under the whitewash.
In addition to these reskinned Stugs by Krätzer, Toddel made some great ambush style camouflage (Hinterhaltstarnung). This was a new colour scheme introduced at the end of 1944. It was decided that a standardized camouflage pattern should be applied in the factory, leading to these complex patterns.

You will be able to drive these vehicles soon(ish) in 1945 Eastern Germany, trying your best to delay the advancing Russians.
