Suggestions / TrackIR still not supported?

not sure which thread this supposed to go in but is there a way for TrackIR to work in FH2?

FH2 Help / Support / Black Screen CTD

So it's been months since the last time I play Fh2  online or vanilla bf2, today I tried to start Fh2 and it won'r start.
I click FH2 and I get black screen, after 2-3 seconds it just go back to desktop without any errors, as if nothing happened at all.  Keep in mind that I can run FH2 and BF2 fine a few months ago, I don't think I changed anything or touch anything beforehand, I believe Bf2 is patched to 1.5, otherwise I probably couldn't even play Fh2 i nthe first place.

 I googled any fix but most of the stuff i found never worked. So i thought I might try my luck here:
Solution that I tried that did not work:
-Run as Admin
-Changed video.con (from documents/bf2/profiles) videoresolution to 1024x768@60Hz
-Changed audio.con "software" to "hardware"
-Delete bf2 profile folder entirely
-changed my desktop resolutions
-graphic card up to date
-desktop monitor driver up to date
-sound card up to date

My other games that require extensive system specs runs fine such as shogun total war, Arma, Need for Speed so I really don't think System spec is an issue here, I used to play BF2 in high max graphic setting back when this black screen did not occurred.

My desktop is running in  max 1280x1024 at 60Hz, changing it any lower makes my desktop blury.
I still need to find my CD and the key,just in case I have lost them entirely I don't want to do re install yet. So before I do the re install solution, Any one have any idea how to fix this problem?

General Discussion / old map rotation repetitive

 So it has been weeks since the latest patch,but it seems like the 3 popular servers just keep rotating the old maps instead of the new ones, whats up with that? maybe it is just my bad luck but every time i play FH2 the only maps that are playing are those old maps like Totalize, Supercharge, Cobra... i know the patch changed some things in them but at least the servers should rotate the new maps more often. Just my opinion.

2.45 patch Torrent

I am currently stuck around 70%, it was fast at first it got to that % in just 2 hours but now i am only getting average 7 kbs/per second. I don't know what is wrong if it is my internet's speed fault or the torrent itself is not getting any seeds.
I let my pc idle for almost 7hours now and it only got to 77%... so yeah that is really bad. I hope people keep seeding the file otherwise the torrent is a bit useless.

FH2 Help / Support / FH2 Random Crash

Im crashing in FH2 randomly. Sometimes i crash 10 min. after getting in a server. Sometimes i crash while im joining a server, then sometimes I crash when changing my Video or the Audio setting.
I am sure i got the latest BF2 patch and FH2.3
I got Vista 32 bit dual processor

Also i dont know if this is a clue but I downloaded FH2.3 part 1 by torrent. Then when i was downloading Fh2.3 part 2 i stopped the download and did not touched it for 2-3 days until then. The installation was fine without corrupt error message so i thought it was fine.
 Anyways.... any1 got a clue whats wrong?

Well it make sense since the Germans  really had experiments and prototype but the war was over before it was used.

Just a balance of power.

The purpose is just for entertainment and maybe some sort of reconnaissance vehicle. If its not already ridiculous  we could add rockets or MG.

Yeah it looks unfit for FH ww2 early ww2 theme that try to be realistic on conventional vehicles. But cant blame me for trying. What you guys think?

FH2 Help / Support / No server showing up

Well i just downloaded the newest patch, when i got in fh2 not a single server is up, the window is just blank. I think i might have did something wrong when i installed the patch but i have been installing fh2 patch before and worked well. my second guess is fh2 is really that dead this week. But then at least i should be seeing severs up even with zero players in, right? so that's odd. i would like to reinstall but before that i want to make sure there are other options, downloading more than 2-3 hours long of 2.3,2.5,2.6 is a headache for my computer. so any ideas?

EDITED: By reading the comments below, it helped me to improve this idea to make it ideal in WW2 era.

V2 Update: If the Commander having an instant camera
(real time view of the battlefield while sitting on the commander tent) on a "manually" flown scout plane seems too unreal in WW2 era. Then how about this:

When  someone is flying the scout plane, a commander can click the SCAN button and the scout planes radar range will increase temporary( maybe it will cover 8 or more square in the map for 2 sec depending where the scout plane is).But the extra increase range will only show a still image of enemy position. Meaning those enemy caught in the "extra range" will show in the map but they are not moving, i mean they might be moving real time but when the  "extra range" got them, then their last position when the radar passed by will show in the map.
It is hard to explain but think of this way, a ww2 era camera on the scout plane take a picture of the battlefield, when the commander got them it only tell him the position of the enemy and their possible directional headings but don't know where they exactly are now. Think of it like the SCAN feature of the bf2 vanilla but works with the scout plane's radar capability.

So here are stuff that can make it balanced:
-It will only work when someone is flying a scout plane
-the SCAN recharge a lot longer than the artillery button.
-The scan covers a large area of the battlefield but it has range and limited depending where the scout plane is flying unlike the SCAN feature in bf2.( where it scans the whole map)
-The enemy position(Infantry icon arrows,Tank icons) will show in the map only for about 10 sec. So the commander must hurry ,manually put another icon by the command rose,then review it to the squad leaders before the icons disappears.
-REMEMBER: Enemy shows only in the commander's map ( not by everybody).
And they are not real time, the enemy icons will not be moving, it only tell the commander that the enemy "was" there and possibly still there or might have move on. It will not distinguish the differences between rifleman,AT men or snipers.

You know when your in a scout plane, there is a pilot seat and the spotter seat. Well in such maps it is rarely seen two guys go in a scout plane only to be shot down. But the "radar" they send to a whole team is important so one pilot to operate it is already useful.

My idea is, when someone is flying a scout plane, the Commander can click the "UAV" button and the commander screen map will turn to the scout plane seats camera. I am not sure how to explain this but, the commander's view would be like he is sitting on the scout plane's spotter seat while in reality he is sitting on the ground in the tent with is radio.

It is unrealistic i know, but if it something that will improve the mod's commander role, and might boost the coordination of the team's teamwork, then who cares,i am all thumbs up for it.
Heck just imagine,for example, a teamwork between scout pilot,commander to the artillery/mortar guy. Pliot fly the scout, commander have access of a real time bird eye's view and he may give data to the guys that operate the mortars.

well just, my 2cents/Do buy it.

Suggestions / Add Things that will encourage teamwork

Hi, im new to this mod, and im really liking it, but teamwork is scarce. The only time i got teamwork was in the 101st server where people actually communicate using VOIP and commanders organizing attacks and defense. I think this mod will be nice if  teamwork is encouraged, I know the devs want the gameplay they want it to be, it doesn't to be heavily team oriented as PR but at least add some features that can encourage team play.

Some of the ideas are references from Project Reality

Here is some of the ideas i mashed up together- feel free to criticize each one of them.

-Compass - does Fh2 have compass and bearings?  I think you should add compass and bearings so it is much easier to tell your teammate the exact direction you want them to look into
- Make squad Leader able to mark possible threats in(caps lock) map. not like the vanilla bf2 radar but one where you can  mark an area on the map. Only members in a Squad, Other Squad Leaders
(but not the members of other squads unless it was your own leader that marked them) and commander can see the marks. To avoid lone wolf Rambo into possible kill stealing
Example:
Squad 1 mark E2 area that there is a possible enemy movement, Squad 1 members can see them. Squad 2 leader can see them and Commander but Squad 2 members cannot. Only Squad 2 members can see the mark if Squad 2 Leader informed them(by marking the same location maybe)

-Add a new point reward system? not sure on this one
-Give lots of to Artillery Assist points,if the artillery man got a kill that is. So people will use the binoculars more.
-Encourage people to join a squad. It won't be like PR where a player is forced to enter a squad, but if your in a squad you get more teamwork points
-Suppression Fire effect. Very useful because your fellow can lay suppress on enemy while you flank.
-Longer Respawn, so a player will be cautious and not always going rambo and rushing. Thankfully we have one shot kill
-Limit  armored vehicles(also planes). If not then at least make the re spawn of a destroyed vehicle longer.
That way people will use the vehicles efficiently, and might encourage to wait for others to hitch a ride.

So what do you guys think, please be nice and constructive on your comments.
