« on: 22-07-2010, 07:07:11 »
Starcraft 2 trailer "Ghosts of the Past" came out early today and all I have to say is sweet mother of mercy, the release cant come any sooner...

I was buffed for this game as it was, now Im anxious for it.

Check out the trailer if you havent yet. And as all Blizzard's CGI vids, this one is effin' awesome aswell.

YESSSSS!!!!!  :o

I saw this trailer too Space Marine - why the hell don;t they just go ahead and make a CGi film, production costs are low (since the Final Fanatsy film), technology is right up there, CGi movies are 'in', and the StarCraft universe has 3 warring fractions, something new to add to the mix.

I hope the acctual gameplay brings some new stuff, new Zergs (RUSH!) etc.  After such a long wait, it's gotta!

I have to say I wasn't impressed much by the beta. It just felt like SC1 with nice graphics and different units, the actual gameplay differences and UI upgrade didn't warrant paying $60 for.

That is a very nice video though. A film made by these guys and the guys who made the Dawn of War I/II intro movies would be amazing.

SC2? Nah, same of the old but with new restrictions and company crap.
This RealID thing is really dumb. I do not want the first thing a potential employer to see when he googles me is that that I play Starcraft...

I think my head just exploded from the sheer awesomeness!

Seriously can't wait for this game. I'm loving the beta and for the most part like the new Battle.net. I'm still very uneasy about Activision being paired with Blizzard, and there's no doubt in my mind that Activision had a part in removing LAN from the game.

I just hope sooner or later Blizzard will come to its sense and break this link ... Bobby Kottick is the anti-christ!

Another cinematic that got nothing to do with ingame gameplay. I mean, I liked Warcraft II. I liked Starcraft despite the fact that I never won as I'm rather sucky at RTS games. I was highly disappointed by Warcraft III and never found access to the game besides getting pounded after 5 minutes. Starcraft II looks like Version 1, they might have changed gameplay a bit, but after all I'm not interested. A buddy of mine wants me to buy the game, he even offered me to throw in some money, but still I'm not inspired at all.

I usually imagine my own sounds with it, like `tjunk, tupdieyupdiedee` aaa enemy spotted, ratatatataboom

so besides smoother graphics what's the difference between this one and the first one?  is that awful limit to how many troops could select at any one time gone?

Couldn't agree more!
Tried the beta, but pretty much the same thing as the first one. just nicer graphics. no real new gameplay changes.

To be honest, i'm kind of ashamed to say that i never liked starcraft THAT much. Great game and enjoyed it, but never as much as say, AoE2 or RA2. I've given it so many tries, I wanna love it but I just can't.. :(
I see were you are trying to reach: "how can a 17 year old kid have such a thinking like this? why doesnt he wants to be like normal teens who whana get rich? and his plan actually makes sense, but is too damn revolutionary and good at the same time than is still doubthfull if it works..." - Damaso

Real-time != strategy. Real-time-strategy = not fun, not in the past, not now, not ever (unless you have "freezetime" a la Space Hulk & X-COM Apocalypse, or "simultaneous turns" a la Combat Mission).

I'm not touching SC2 either, not even if Kerrigan has Tricia Helfer's voice and, judging from the trailer, her resemblance.
