If you want a fun gun for plinking, don't get an AEG, they sound horrible and aren't that fun to shoot. Get a gas blowback. They run on propane (aka green gas, but propane tanks can refill them with an adapter) so they're cheap as dirt to shoot. And of course the blowback action makes them fun to shoot. Not to mention that they're powerful. Yes, they can (theoretically) kill a bird within 20m, though you may need several shots.

If you want a gun for plinking, why not just get an actual air rifle.  I though the point of airsoft guns was to have them suitable for shooting at people.  So if your not going to do that, either get a replica or deactivated gun if you want to look at it, or an air rifle if you want to shoot targets with it.

Im picking things back up, after 2 months (work and such got between)

Soon we gonna do a camping trip. First a march of 10KM in wich we must find our way to our private forrest

Next up, we gonna set up camp and spend the night, like most of the guys did in their conscription.
Then the day after, we're gonna do a whole set of missions.

I bought myself a STAR FNC to match with our Belgian army clothing. 3 of the guys also have it.
Also switched from those stupid high caps to low caps. They are far more realistic and fun.

Wasn´t able to play Airsoft in the last months, too since we don´t own a private field and everyone´s kinda busy with work or school. So I still didn´t get to shoot my G36k outside. :/
But Theta, take some pics please! I´d really love to see your camp and some airsoft action ^^

speakin of camps and airsoft, some freinds and I are making a rather big airsoft area (my buddy owns some piece of forest) and we are getting a digger and starting creating trenches of all kinds, bunkers. who knows whatnot  alltough we ahve to wait untill spring..

They use Co2 and are as such expensive to shoot. With propane one can shoot all day. Personally I'd want a bolt action though.
