What do you need to get into Airsoft anyway? I am interested, but I don't know much about it.

Basically what Apa and TheTa said.

goggles or eye protection.
weapon of some sort.   = done.
This goes for everyone: If any of you need me to check out a gun or want a particular type of gun (i.e. best M4 for under $200) then give me a pm

Earned $60 today, only need $40 more to get that magical FS3 SG1. For those of you who possibly own an M324, heres a post I copied and pasted with all the upgrades for the gun.

I am a proud owner of a M324 for several years now. I have experimented and tinkered with this baby for quite some time and learned a lot of things. I have decided to share my knowledge in this topic.

Gun specs:
Type: Bolt-action, Tokyo Marui VSR-10/US Army M24 Sniper Weapon System Clone
Stock Power: ~1.6J, *400-430 FPS @ .20g
Barrel: 464 mm aluminum, *6.14 mm diameter
Weight: ~7 lbs stock

Available Upgrades:
EdGi

•UTG M324 V3 6.01mm Barrel $75.00
•UTG M324 V3 6.00mm Barrel $80.00
•Heat Treated Steel Sear Set $50.00
•7mm Steel Spring Guide $32.00
•Anodized Alloy Piston $60.00
•525fps Spring $22.00
•585fps Spring $22.00
•Cylinder & Cylinder Head $75.00
+ Flat-rate shipping $10.00
EdGI may also offer discounts on complete kits. Please contact them via email or telephone (found on their website).

DBCustoms at AirsoftGi, ($45.00 witgh flate rate shipping) 6.01mm'

LayLax springs at Airsoft Atlanta

•Laylax VSR-10 120SP Spring $17.99
•Laylax VSR-10 130SP Spring $17.99
+ Airsoft Atlanta Shipping (shipping varies)
You can get higher rated springs but I would NOT recommend it due to the flimsiness/lack of durability of the plastic trigger mech.

The rest of the post talks about the M324's custom bucking which is not compatible with any gun or upgradable.

I've tried a airsoft gun once... it was.. "A little" tuned marui VSR-10 G-spec... we tested stock power: 180m/s (591 fps) with that 0.20 ammo. Many of my schooltime friends (boys) play airsoft. I never played and probably never will. Just tried that gun :P

Wow, sexy AK! And I mean, really, really sexy!
Btw, I sold my M4 and got the G36k, so here are some pics:

It´s pretty cool, sturdy and the 3x scope works like a charm. The rifle´s body is amde off plastic, like the real one, while the inner parts, the barrel, flash hider and trigger are made of metal. Currently it´s rather "naked" but I like it that way, without too much "tacti-cool" stuff. The only thing I might get in the future is a front grip and a EOTech replica, like for example German paras or MPs use it.
Too bad I haven´t had the chance to test it in the field yet >.<
And so he spoke, and so he spoke, that lord of Castamere,
But now the rains weep o'er his hall, with no one there to hear.
Yes now the rains weep o'er his hall,
and not a soul to hear.

@homer, nice nice, I liked the G36k but we had a CYMA one  ::)
It was worth $20 and had an LPEG gear box  :-\
Totally shattered any hope of me getting any G36s'

I bought a used ICS AK74m, or maybe it was CA, can't remember, some time ago.
Was upgraded to 350fps, with a precision barrel as well.
But I didn't play the sport, so I sold it after a while. If you want a fun gun for plinking, don't get an AEG, they sound horrible and aren't that fun to shoot. Get a gas blowback. They run on propane (aka green gas, but propane tanks can refill them with an adapter) so they're cheap as dirt to shoot. And of course the blowback action makes them fun to shoot. Not to mention that they're powerful. Yes, they can (theoretically) kill a bird within 20m, though you may need several shots.
