i sat inside a lancaster, saw it start up at very close range and saw it take off and display

there is something special about the lancaster...

Woooahh! That's Operation Harvester map with Lancasters! ....falls from chair
Real nice screenshot DJ! I know clivewill had done the model but I've never seen it finished and implemented in-game!  :o

Thought so too. I put a link on the image if you want to do more drooling. Of course, Burt is just an example of Clive's work, I don't want to necessarily push this for inclusion in FH as the type of model has to fit into gameplay.

Ya know, I've actually seen a REAL Lancaster fly over ... Lancaster, UK, which where I live, LOL  :D

Thanks for the link DJ....absolutely stunning! One day hopefully we will see that beauty in FH2.

Spitfire IX is a nice pick!

Now back to that Bf-109E7/trop. They are clearly inferior to any Spit, except climb performance.

to be honest I dont think heavy bombers such as the lancaster (or the B17) have any real place in FH2. If at all they should be used as "kits" as in FH1, where you sort of remote control a bomber for one straight flight across the map and can control the bombing..

We have barely explored the aerial aspect so I wont say never to bombers as yet. a map like battle of Britain or Bombing the Reich could well exist.

Although to make modeling such things worth it, it would require a bit more than just one map...Sure will LOVE to see that night time pyrotechnics though :)

OT,
the spitfire is one of the most beautiful airplane models in FH2 so we can never have enough imo.

maybe you got me wrong. im fully in favour of aerial or even aerial/naval maps (i would love to see FH1's Midway map (the new one)) in FH2...

I just think that you would run them with mid-sized bombers max (e.g. ju88s or similar).

But just lets wait and see..

Oh yeah the new Spit on the Block. Tremble German pilots, you now have a worthy adversary  :)

Milton Gault roared, "Roffey, I know bloody well that Jerry knows we are here but you don't need to advertise the fact!"

Of course for such maps the view distance would have to be increased.

German bias again... I like it :P 8)

But I think that the Emils can't beat the spit IX on climb(at least they shouldn't). The Gustavs could... especially the G-10 and onwards

Any 109 with DB-605 on it will do. We just need a model and someone willing to code.

But hey, let's appreciate this sleek beauty first! It's always good when the devs bring more stuffs into the game. Be it another variant of something that has been on the game long time ago.

here's a touching story

They simply where inferior to the spit :/

just as the spit suddently became inferior to the FW190

Then came Ze Spitfire VII and IX

Und den ze BF 109 G came

and then tally ho came various heavy powerd spits(Like napier griffin engined spitfires)

Meanwhile the italian airforce remained superior in everything
