Saw 2 cool movies yesterday:

The Social Network
Or: that Facebook movie. :) I am a big David Fincher fan, but when I read he was gonna make a movie about Facebook I wasn't that enthousiastic. I mean, how can a movie about a website be not only good, but Fincher-worthy? But as it turns out it's a highly enjoyable, expertly made and well acted movie. I have no idea how close it stays to actual facts, but as a movie it works. Great dialogues, pretty pictures, well worth checking out. Jesse Eisenberg (he of Zombieland fame) should at least get nominated for an Oscar, he owns that lead part.
I wasn't blown away in a Fincher type way, like with Se7en or Fightclub, but it wasn't sappy nonsense like Benjamin Button either. I'm actually looking forward to seeing what he'll do with the Millennium remakes, because in my opinion that's more his cup of tea (even though I detest Hollywood for remaking yet another european work of art before it got the chance to get worldwide recognition on its own merits).

Splice
Typical love-it-or-hate-it affair from the director of Cube. It's about two genetic engineers who, after yet another budget cut, decide to take their work underground and continue to experiment with splicing human DNA with animal DNA. The end result is a bit more predictable then I would like, but overall it's a solid movie that plays around with different ethical and moral dilemma's. As a thriller/creature feature it will probably disappoint its intended crowd, but as a movie about the state we, as humankind, are in right now, it works. What kept me focussed on the good bits was the fact that I just like these small labour-of-love type movies. It's written by the director himself and there's basically just 3 actors and the story. You can never really go wrong with Adrian Brody and the creature itself is kind of a cool movie "monster".
FH2 is the game, DarklyDreamingDexter is the name.

Stanley Kubrick is the undefeated master of directors. Sergio Leone is his heir to the throne.

Kick-Ass!
Crazy movie, with a wicked plot and totally crazy main characters. Hit Girl definately was my most-favourite character followed by Big Daddy and Red Mist. Nicolas Cage was awesome, too, being a revenge-thirsty maniac who trains his daughter to fight for him.
At first you think it´s a movie about an average guy becoming a super hero, but then BD and HG start their business and the fun begins.
8.5/10

Rocky Horror Picture Show.

The movie sucks but the crowd wins big time.

I had a great time tonight.  ;D

Piranha - 8/10
awesome movie.. Huge amounts of naked boobs and splatter scenenes that put Braindead to shame  ;D

First Men in th Moon - 7/10
A low budget H.G.Wells adaption in the best spirit of movies like the Time Machine or 20.000 leagues under the sea. If you are into Jules Verne and such just watch it. I really liked it.

Technically not a movie, but I watched the first episode of The Walking Dead.
I didn´t read the comics, so except for the "Oh, Zombies!"-part I didn´t really knew what to expect. The first episode is well done and good to watch. It ahs some "Oh shit!"-moments where you fear about the characters but also some nice images that show the post-apocalyptic world of a Zombie attack. The pilot episode really got me hooked up and I can´t wait for next week to see more.

Agreed Homer. The last scene with the camera pulling out where the zombies are swarming the Abrams tank was great. I got hooked

It's a comedy along the lines of Brain Dead and Severance. Don't worry if it's bad. ^^
