the only movie in the past years that I can say really scared me (otherwise, I'm always "untouched" by horror movies) is "The Orphanage". I was scared to walk home in the night from my friends house when I had seen it.
I see were you are trying to reach: "how can a 17 year old kid have such a thinking like this? why doesnt he wants to be like normal teens who whana get rich? and his plan actually makes sense, but is too damn revolutionary and good at the same time than is still doubthfull if it works..." - Damaso

Not technically a movie, but this morning I saw a documentary about the Georgian uprising on the Dutch island of Texel, called "Sondermeldung Texel". I grew up in the area of naval base Den helder and Texel, but I had never heard anything about this conflict.
Other than (of course) thinking it would make a great FH2 map (germans vs. Georgians in german uniforms) it was really interesting to see an account of an uprising on a relatively small scale and on such a small island.

HereĀ“s the wiki/page

FH2 is the game, DarklyDreamingDexter is the name.

The same!

It was really good! I wanna watch it again...

Biggest fail ever when it comes to horror movies has got to be "The Others" from 2001. It was praised here in sweden and all the critics said "the most frightening movie ever made!". I watched it, and felt in the end "meh".

But yeah, The Orphanage (El Orfanato) was really scary. Watch it!

Saw "Never So Few" last night. It was alright (but on the verge of "mweh"), altough it could've done with 90 minutes instead of 2 hours. Had some interesting aspects, but overall a typical 50's "war"-movie with forced romantics and heroism.

Cool to see Steve McQueen in his first major movie role though. Saw Magnificent Seven too a couple of days ago so it's been kind of a Steve McQueen week. Maybe watch The Getaway tonight :)

Oh, I just gotta make time to check that one out. I'm the biggest sucker for Wes Anderson's movies

I find Hot Shots to be better, to be honest.

Ordered Bullit right away. Thanks for reminding me. Haven't seen it yet but with McQueen in the lead and music by Lalo Schifrin you can't really go wrong, now can you.  ;)
Oh, and thanks for the doc-tip. Will check that out. Recently I have been watching a lot of old movies with guys like Paul Newman, Bogart, McQueen, Eastwood, icons like that. Egos the size of a Ratte but simply too cool for school.

Tonight I rewatched Octopussy. And I must admit it's aged a hell of a lot better than last week's Moonraker. It's still one of the lighter Bonds, but it's not as silly as I'd remembered (probably because of the clown), a few niggles aside (the tarzan-yell, stuff like that). The story is typical bloated Bond, but somehow it still kinda worked. :)

You will love Bullit man, it's awesome. The whole Mustang vs Dodge Charger scene forged my love for the classic Mustangs  :P

I've heard a few say it's the "best one", didn't realize all the films have different directors. James Cameron directed this one of course, I taped it from tv so there's a lot of stuff cut out, need to watch the directors cut version.  Is Pandorum out on dvd yet?
