Isn't that standard tactic... how else would you make it to the guns on Lebisey?

When did this new school of thought come about?

That is not a "tactic" and to all those people that play with low settings, you'll no longer have that unfair advantage over those that can all play FH2 on high settings.

I play with low settings....I have also tried maps at high...No advantage.  I call bullshit.

The purpose of this deployment was to "annoy and defy the United States ... on her with Bofors 40 mm guns from a range of 650

Although I must admit with low settings the player models stand out a bit more against the background I wouldn't call playing with low settings advantageous. People who play on low settings (ie. me) have other difficulties. It is a bit worrying, okay - relatively speaking, that a dev even thinks this.
FH2 is the game, DarklyDreamingDexter is the name.

Stalemate on Bardia is very easy with low settings, everyone crawls inside the bushes/plants and high setting can't spot eachother but low setting can see them all  :P

The grass appears thinner nearby (~5m radius), but further away (~20m) it becomes just as opaque as it did before. The wheat fields on Lebisey for example are still effective in hiding infantry.

Bumping up the system specs like what the PR team did is a BAD idea. Not only will it screw over low spec people like me, but it will also limit any new people with a standard BF2 rig.
My ingame name is [PUG]mr.hanky1945

Hanky, with any new PC game/mod, you have to consider purchasing a new PC. A relatively "new" low end PC can run FH2 on high settings for about $500. You must change with the times besides a "standard" BF2 rig was probably bought/built between 2004/2005 with technology older than that.

@Mud Budda
Playing with a high end rig on low settings you get maximum fps with transparent undergrowth is an advantage. I only wish players would be required to have medium or higher settings for shadows enabled/dynamic light which is another advantage of playing with low settings.

Looks like a great map, I hope the view distance will be longer/less foggy than Operation Cobra  :)
