facts:
4 km snow/nightmap
2km viewdistance
no lag
based on real terrain
lots of new statics and vehicle textures just for this map

How do you set the viewDistance to 2km?

2km = 2000m aka the unit the BF2 editor has. So a view distance of 1000 bf2editor units = 1000m = 1km.

yes ;) the limit is 1111m IIRC but its easily fixed in the .con files. ;D

What would you like to have a viewdistance of 2km for?
700-800m is the very maximum distance you will be able to see and engage other players anyways. And that is with zoomed weapons like tank guns and clear line of sight only.
It makes no sense to go above that viewdistance.

Actually I beg to differ. Having a bigger LOS gives you substantial advantages on bigger resolutions. Now, correct me if I'm wrong but I really like seeing a tank that's 1,5km away IN TIME then him getting close to me, on 500m and shooting e cause he saw a line in the bush move.

Yes, I agree to this too, especially when you're flying an airplane. The longer the LOS is, the less fog you see in front of your cockpit, and the more time you'll have to prepare for a ground attack.

And you can make great demo screenshots of your map by temporarily increasing the viewdistance  ;D
It helps you to orientate while making the map if you can see the whole thing.

But as said before, ingame tanks and planes can realy profit of larger viewdistances.
