Single Player Map Loading Crash (ALL FH maps)

I am new to FH, and have spent days trying to get FH 0.7 to work.  I have downloaded all three parts in the correct order, yet I am still facing the common problem of the program crashing to my desktop halfway through loading a map.  I have noticed that regular bf1942 maps load properly and only the FH maps crash.  I currently have bf1942 v1.6.  What am I missing?  Is there another file I need? ???

Hi!


If I recall correctly the FH42 campaign mode is bugged and will crash instantly when loading a map, if you want to enjoy some singleplayer action you have to start a coop-server on LAN which you create and add maps, settings and such. I hope things work out for you.

i also think you need the bf1942 patch version 1.6b  (or was it 1.61b ?? whatever is the lastest version)


and the singleplayer should work but i believe there is one map that brakes it at some point.

Well, I tried hamm0ck's aproach, still crashes.  Thanks for the try though, I appreciate the advice.  I'll try to make sure bf1942 is updated as far as patches go this weekend.  I'll let you know the result, thanks again for the help.

sry I haven't gotten on in a while, I've tried everything. Correct patches, re-installing it, the works.
what I downloaded the files from the FH0.7 News Miror if that helps...
The version of BF1942 I have is the "complete collection" with Road to Rome, Secret Weapons of WWII, and Battlefield 'nam. I don't think that makes a difference, but just incase.

You need:
1/ Battlefield 1942
2/ Patch 1.6
3/ Patch 1.6b
4/ FH 3parts - Installed in correct order, with no previous version in the target folder

Do not play Campaign mode - It's bugged - only Play single map SP or create a COOP game with a map list

Avoid tampering with the files, unless say, you need to add custom maps

You might also want to try later:
1/ FH mappack 6
2/ FH Brutwurst and Mr Cheese' soundpack
3/ FH unnoficial texture patch for mappack6
4/ FHSW
5/ Realbadseed's custommappack
6/ Intensity mod and custom maps like Trois Pont
7/ Other custom maps like breakthrough at Vienna, Reichsbahn
