Their agents have probably told them to say things like "we're gonna be the new Beatles" to gain publicity, albeit negative publicity. Nobody's that ignorant.

I found this.

http://www.amazon.com/Diamond-Digital-Audio-Ethernet-Connection/dp/tags-on-product/B003CT2A6I
The same company also sells regular Ethernet cable. Just see the marketing blurb:
http://www.amazon.com/263-Audioquest-Forest-Ethernet-Cable/dp/B0073HBB7Y/ref=sr_1_314?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1332150127&sr=1-314
Quote
In order to fabricate copper or silver into a strand or conductor, it is first cast and then drawn (squeezed through a die). Even finest high-purity metals have imperfections and grain structure, which due to the direction of casting and drawing become non-symmetrical structures without the conductor. In ways which are not fully understood, both analog and digital audio performance is significantly affected by these non-linearities. While AudioQuest doesn't pretend to fully understawnd this obvious distortion mechanicm, the solution is understood 100%. Use the conductors in the direction which reduces distoration!
Let's see... I thought "digital" meant that either signal gets through or it does not? Ignoring the fact that these clowns cannot even spell "distortion", anyone who falls for this should be assigned a state ward. However, it has been conclusively proven time and again that hi-fi enthusiasm and common sense do not fit within the same brain, and as the saying goes, a fool and his money are soon parted.

Historically, the "age of consent" was determined for the start of her period. So for centuries, if not millennia, if not millions of years, JB was legal. Messing with prepubescents was still considered inappropriate and often punished, and I would say that 11 years old is a MILF in Pedobear's eyes.

It was only since late in 19th century when hypocritics and sexphobics (read: religious right and hairy feminists) started screaming and bit by bit forced the limit higher and higher with reasoned arguments like "Won't you think of the children". Also, the idea that childhood should last until you get the right to vote is a very recent construct. "Children" in the age of Smith and Pocahontas were in all likelihood much more mature because they could not have been held in artificial bubble, safe from the realities of the world. They had seen births, deaths, grown-ups "doing it", there was no FCC to filter out the dirty words, they had been working for years because in a pre-industrial society everyone worked from the moment they could do something useful. So the 11-year old Pocahontas most likely understood realities of life and the meaning of sexual relationships much better than the average 16-year old chav of our age (who's legal in most places outside the certain states in the Land of the Free).

The question remains: if for most of human history it was perfectly healthy and normal for men to lust after maidens post-menstruation but pre-your current local AoC, why do people think it's sick now? "Pedophile" in the true meaning of the word means a sick frak who's interested in pre-pubescent children all the way up to infants. "Ephebophile" is someone who is primarily interested in young, post-pubescent individuals, but that is not even considered to be a proper sickness (unlike pedophilia). For someone, who is interested in both teens and older, there is not even a name because biologically that's perfectly normal. Social pressure might force you to show that interest only to persons relatively close to your age, but that has nothing to do with biology or even morality.

While on the topic. When I went to school, 4 years ago now, in one class (I don't remember what we discussed) I got some real weird/judgmental looks when I said that maybe (emphasize on maybe) we are to quick to judge pedophiles? Judging them to be evil, "sick fucks" who have some real sickness.
Not 50 years ago, the very same was said about homosexuals.

That day was in the beginning of my cynical and bitter attitude towards the general public. How one-sided people are (had a lot of shallow idiots in my class).
I see were you are trying to reach: "how can a 17 year old kid have such a thinking like this? why doesnt he wants to be like normal teens who whana get rich? and his plan actually makes sense, but is too damn revolutionary and good at the same time than is still doubthfull if it works..." - Damaso
