That American vs. Russian Vodka chart, and the whole Russian badassery thing made me remember an event happened 2 years ago.
Well, so much for them being Russian, in September 2010 I remembered that 3 Sukhoi technicians, assembling our Su-30MKI 2s were found dead, many suspected after taking some locally made cocktails.
People were quite surprised, because Russians normally drink Vodka, one of the most alcoholic beverages known. But "cap tikus" (lit. means "mouse brand") liquor, famous amongst eastern Indonesians is known for its strong alcoholic-like intoxicating effect, and even the badass Russians were no match for that. But "cap tikus" has variety of meaning. Illegally distilled alcohol or other dangerous intoxicating chemical properties (like Methanol, Ethylene Glycol) beverages are often loosely called "cap tikus" by local people. This will normally resulted in people being hospitalized and suffering permanent brain damage and frequently re-occurring seizures.
By the way, here is "cap tikus" stamp:
The brand is now defunct, the owner committed suicide long time ago. But this is what we suspected that the Russians might have drunk:

Translation: "Russia assures that the new 3 Sukhoi technicians are not drinkers." (WTF? non-drinking Russian?)
From the autopsy and test results from our police laboratory found significant trace of Methanol (more than 1% fatal dose) in their stomach, kidney, and left lung. Since the technician rarely leave the base, it was suspected that they mixed their beverage with the plane's windshield rain repellent, which also contains spirits. A jerry can of that thing was found near their room at the time of their death.
