Oh okay, so they're using the same one from FH1 and just ported it over?

Look closely and notice that it was made from the beginning also for FH2.

But have some Russian front statics been created? or is that alll hush-hush - - cuz we'd never get those in an update

Right now we have a small but solid amount of rural statics for the mappers to start with. Compared to the number of Normandy statics it´s tiny number, but we have just started. ;) You might have to wait for pictures until the first map will be shown to the public.

Have you noticed that the tank on the right bottom ist missing some barrels and the turret is missing the rear mg? And there is a number on the turret. Clearly not the KV-1S fom the News. Maybe a T-34/85?

And so he spoke, and so he spoke, that lord of Castamere,
But now the rains weep o'er his hall, with no one there to hear.
Yes now the rains weep o'er his hall,
and not a soul to hear.

update today?

Calm down, the devs just announced a new theater, give them a little time before you start begging. I want an update as bad as anybody.

Asking for updates is a two-sided blade. You show pure interest towards the mod which makes it great for the devs, they see that you *want* to see new stuff. But then again on the other hand... asking for updates will not make them come up quicker. ;)

Have you decided yet how the ISU152 will do in tank to tank combat? i mean atm HE shells do not much vs tanks, and the news update says that the majority of its shells are HE. so how much damage will the HE shells do to tanks? and if they do much damage, what is the use of AP shells then?
and any plans on the reload time?

you are busy with the bulge of course but just questions that came to mind.

SU152, not ISU. Although we might see the ISU too, who knows.

At the moment the bigger HE shells should actually do some damage to tanks. But keep in mind that the largest tank shell are only 88 mm and even the largest artillery is 105 mm. 152 mm will deliver quite a punch, I would say.

AP shells would offer a flatter trajectory, and that's about it. :P

As an ISU and ML 20 expert, we can safely say that anything up to a tiger tank is pretty much ruined when hit by a 152.4mm 43.3KG (containing 6KG of explosives)

Tiger tanks, for example, simply lost there turrets when a shell hitted the frontal hull armor. Soviet SU/ISU 152 doctorine was that the crew had to keep firing at the enemy tank untill "It did not looked like a tank anymore"

As for the KT, there are reports of them surviving direct hits..
Well for the tank, not the crew.
If your tank survived, your crew was dead anyway

The reload time was something between 1 to 2 rounds a minute

As for the AP and APHE shell, i sorry vonmudra, but the trajectory was the same. Muzzle velocity of the HE-Fragmentation, steel   OF-540 shell was 655 M/S, and the APHE   BR-540 was 600 M/S

EDIT=

Forgotten Hope
I think tomorrow is a good time for a news update? Who's with me?
