What I particular like about the picture is the arti-ness of it... Its like the North African one.

I always wished there'd be one for Normandy and the Bulge, but this is a welcome return to that..

All else is this

, which isn't quite arty enough...*hint, hint, need more.. cough, cough*

Just wanted to say: I KNEW IT! It had to be the Eastern Front next. I can't wait for those Mosin-Nagant renders....mmmm.

With the speed of the Boys rifle made more real unlike Fh1's forced slow version, I am actually very excited about the rare PTRS when it gets in.. And since we're talking about light armor, the Panzer38t. I loved that baby bird :-)

Very nice update, Haven't playing lately because i was frustrated by my sub standard pc.

There is one quetion that is burning on my lips: Did the defs got some of their models fromthe BGF mod? Because that would speed things up alot. Even if you have to do things over for quality sake.

Still hoping to see their tank system ingame.
Stuff like this would be very useful indeed:

Statics and models aren't the problem, it's the mapping and the coding that takes the longest time iirc.

I had always thought that starting a new theatre would require a number of houses,trees,objects...to start maping properly

Right you are, but the time it takes to create a map is the main time consuming factor in this equation and not the models, which some of devs seem to just 'shake out of their sleeves'. It's as if they have their own little slave workers in their basements. You can't imagine the speed with which they produce their models. ^^

some of them are >----------------------------------------------------------------<   -this fast

but seriously
lost of stuff is already done it is just not shown yet. and as N24 said mostly the mapping takes up the "longest" time in creating a new theater. sure there are some models (player models especially) that also need a long time to get them done right but then they can be used on many maps, same with statics, weapons, vehicles but the maps are always done from scratch (well mostly ^^). for those peeking at the maps run on the test server you see that some of the maps there are in "testing phase" for some months now while many others havent reached that phase yet.

the focus right now is bulge and only once that is done we are gonna get going full speed on eastern front (i guess) but the mappers might have already started with their eastern front maps, who knows.

anyways, snow is awesome hurray for german camouflage and panzerfaust 60 :D for some long range tank killing against those pesky shermans.

and both mystery planes are stukas, you can see by the closer one. Why bombing the pretty hanomag I don't know...
That 251 and it's treacherous crew tried to retreat. They had it coming.
