Crawl & Bandage Use animation

1#crawl animations. when you lay on the ground there sould be some animation when crawling

2#bandages animations. when you get shot there sould be a nice animation when you use your bandages, like you open your bandages kit and you use a bandages on yourself

There are crawl anims, but I stated some things I find ridiculous while crawling in another thread (  ::) )

It would be neat to have bandaging anims, but very low priority.

1. crawling animations are currently made only for MGs and can be added to any other weapon but problem with this engine is that you can still fire while crawling.

2. with current system we can't have animations of using the bangade
(P.S. this is the best system possible)

We could have animations of tearing bandages before use like in PR but it's not exactly a top priority for the few devs that are left...
This sentence is intentionally left unfinished...

Isn't firing less accurate while crawling? I never shoot while crawling because I think it's less accurate and aiming gets more difficult because of moving iron sight.

iron sights have nothing to do with accuracy because bullet always comes from the center of the screen (in this crappy engine) but there is deviation which makes your shots inaccurate while moving (in prone position, while crouching and when you walk/run)

Bandage CAN'T have animation because BF2 engine, you drop your bandage to use. Or just hold it and use it (Not in FH2, but vanilla).
We couldn't use 'just hold' because you'd never be able to give it away if you're yourself not at 100% health.

So dropping = no possible animation... Besides the throwing animation.


As for crawling, I wish for that too. At least, I wish guns would be held in a fashion that made it clear you are lying flat on the ground. Perhaps a greater amount of sway as you move foward and the sound effect might suffice. But its quite cosmetic...

PS. Can you rename your thread to something like 'Crawl & Bandage Use animation'?
Current title doesn't help people find it later.

By default bullets come from the center of the screen
But it takes less then 1 minute to make the bullet come from the barrel,regardless of which direction it is pointing


(in this crappy engine)

Isn't that possible in SP only though? Unless there's some "hack" or whatever to make it work in MP of course...

Unfortunately there are some parts of Refractor 2 that are completely client side. I found this out testing that shit myself for hours. The FireInCameraDOF is one of those things.

...pretty much this, what TurkishCommando said here. I'm sure if PR can do them, FH can, but an animation is not necessary since the only kind of bandage we have is dropped on the ground and absorbed magically.

Is there any way to improve the crawling cababilities?  It seems like I get stuck on every little 2 inch incline, can't it be made so you can crawl over a board or slight rise in the concrete?
