So, today the texts I'm going to translate for my thesis have finally been approved.

Next thing to do: trawl 40 texts for any worthwile terminology by November 9th.

Back to being unemployed after a year+ contract. Pity, but if I have to find a silver lining, at least now I've got all the time in the world for FH2 project(s).

Not only you, but the whole world is.

China is the most desperate about this slowdown. Rather than fire the excess labours, they send them to numerous cheap no-profit 0-return projects overseas such as building Indonesia's High-Speed-Rail, (probable) US West Coast HSR, and Britain's nuclear power project. Why? Because paying them to build ghost towns in the middle of nowhere inside China only damages their financial balance (local Banks lending property development without return).

These "globally made in China" projects will be using 100% indigenous, non-striking, non-intermingling, very discrete mainland Chinese labours. So not to agitate them into something political domestically. Like many strange political projects, there are dubious clause within the agreement, like Indonesia doesn't need to issue government guarantee for example. That means, we don't need to drop $ 2 billion for them to start working. All initial expenses were straight from their pocket. No wonder those Africans and Europeans fell into their tricks.

I started playing Morrowind. I cannot believe I did not try it earlier. It's one of the best games I've ever played.

Have fun traveling the roads with those annoying as shit pterodactyls everywhere. Also try using magic and melee together.

I really liked how the quests were really vague and had you reading rather than spoonfeeding you everything.

Used to play this together with a mate back in school. Good times.

Poptarts are fantastic. I munched the ones I got from MREs and loved them. Put them in a toaster for about a minute for even more deliciousness, as this makes them more crunchy!

Yes now the rains weep o'er his hall,
and not a soul to hear.

In the morning i always have difficulty to eat. i can often eat only one small serving, in this case a standard Belgian "boterham" (slice of bread) with some spreading.

Wich makes me hungry as fuck as i approach 7.30AM

Morning shift of 6 AM with first break at 9AM

well these poptarts really help. Wish we had this stuff in belgium because the place i go charges 5 euro for one box of pop tarts

I think pop tarts have like 50% of your daily value of saturated fat.  That's pretty gross.

Many people know that Lamborghini named their cars from famous fighting bulls bred in certain stables from Spain.

But one car is named after Indonesian island of Madura:

http://www.lambocars.com/lambonews/lamborghini_madura_concept.html

Supposedly because of "Karapan Sapi" or lit. cow race, despite the fact that they use bulls. Now, Lambo is an expensive, exotic super cars made mainstream by VAG. But Madura for many Indonesians and its neighbouring Jawa Timur (Eastern Java) are like Jawas / Sand People who often scavenge for metal parts, even from public facilities such as road barriers, traffic lights, and bridge components. They disregard the law about damaging public property and endangering public safety. Unsophisticated, rubes, uncouth, probably is what most people describe about their demeanor. Weird choice Lambo. Unless you are talking about their artistic taste, cooking skill, and house building efficiency.

Porsche chose "Macan" and yes, it works pretty well.

Its an expensive car for rich brats. Doubt half of the owners will be able to spell the name, 24% will be unable to pronounce it correctly and the last 25% that knows how to say the word won't give a damn about its history. Then theres that asshole 1%, the guy that will look everything into it just to sound smug.

Actually, many supercar buyers are enthusiasts who weren't that rich before, but eventually got there.

Cleaning business guy, restaurant owners, transport company owner, many are self-made entrepreneurs. These people grew up aspiring to own one bedroom poster cars, and eventually realising their dream.

Rich guys buy "safe" cars like Rolls Royce, Maybach, or Bugatti if they want some speed. But some of their brats, using excess money would buy one for 2 or 3 months before deciding that they can't handle it, or get maimed/injured/killed in the process. That's why there is always these expensive cars in the second-hand market. To prevent one falling into burly business owners, Ferrari takes back their top-of-the-line (Enzo and La Ferrari)model if some "worthy" rich kids decided that they won't play with it anymore.
