I bought of Men of War yesterday and MY GOD IT'S AMAZING! I'll take some epic screenshots soon.

Seriously guys it's the best RTS I've played since Starcraft, and if we're talking WWII, the old Close Combat Series. I'm serious check this shit out... it will blow your mind. I'm nominating it for underrated game of the year, hands down.

My fleet destroying the last big pirate fleet in Empire: Total War. This is the best tactic. Get some light ships to use as bait, create a big mess with the pirate ships fighting the light ships and then encircle them with your heavy ships. Crushing victory for me.



Some seconds later, me hitting the gunpowder storage of that pirate ship. I missed the real explosion but after effects are nice too



Europa Barbarorum mod. Some dense infantry fighting, hell I love EB

Darkest Hour

Do tanks running on that engine naturally look sorta, 'bad', in a sense. I mean, I've seen many mods make tanks for HL2 but they always just seem to lack detail... even compared to Battlefield 2 mods, like FH2.

Don't quote huge screenshots 
HL2 just lacks eyecandy and stuff. I agree with you on that. It looks so raw. HL2 has way more options regarding gameplay but regarding graphics I prefer BF2, it looks nicer.
