Vehicle/weapon waiting ethics - a poll
« on: 11-04-2010, 12:04:17 »
I'm curious what the current morale is on 'waiting for objects'.

I think the types of behavior are :

A) Get-a-ticket
Wait in-line, he who waits longest gets the tank/airplane/weapon. Screw anyone who comes later!

B) Cunning as a fox
Press E like a madman, know the exact spot of the tank, count the seconds till the next spawn. Screw anyone who was standing there !

C) My Precious
Since you died in your tank, you are emotionally engaged and hence you have a RIGHT at your tank. It has your name on it, and in every way, you are entitled to it. Screw everyone else!

------------

I'm inclined to say I am somewhere between A and B, depending on who is around me (Squadmates get the A treatment, people who had the same tank for ages get the B treatment).

What *IS* however the ethical thing to do at this moment ? Let yourself be heard!

I'm usually A, I wait for some time then I get bored and go find myself a sniperkit and *poof* the tank comes in and someone jumps in. FFFFFFUUUUUUU  ;D
I'd rather play Kimble with my ass!

I don't wait for vehicles, waste of time. If theres no vehicle, bad luck, I'll walk.

I always laugh out loud when someone types "You took my tank!!" (directed at anyone, not specifically at me). Pkayers don't own stuff in FH2, and I'm glad about that.

Theres no rules for getting a tank, except teamkill. If i remember the name of someone who TK for a tank, i will never be in the same squad or cooperate with that person in any way. But besides TK everything is allowed i guess.  Though i feel alittle unpleasant if i take the tank from someone waiting there a long time, so i would rather try to take another. But basicly it is alternative B.

B.

I remember when tiger came with 2.15. I knew exactly how many seconds it took to spawn and by pixel where it spawned. So i went to barracks and counted seconds there while other got blown to pieces by beaufighter or arty, then when time was right I rushed there right where tiger spawned and took it. That was hardcore.

Only noobs spam e, pros hold it down and stand right where it spawns 8)

Noo what have you done you revealed my secret weapon!

If I wait for a tank (and thats rare 'cause I'm more infantry oriented) I always let the people who were there already, to make the firs move.
I wait my turn. Acctually when it is my turn I do it the B way  ;D

It depends on how much of a jackass I feel like being.  Normally, I won't snipe stuff from people who have been waiting (unless they've been whoring it the whole round), but occasionally I really want a certain piece of equipment.  For Planes, its a different story though, I'll sit there and hold E if there's more plane campers than there are planes, well, that or I'll get pissed and take something fast on suicide run through the enemies rear line (Daimler on El AL FTW!).
