^ lol, exactly I remember exactly this. The only bad thing was that the day I went there they had new questions (the exact day) and I had one mistake. Pretty sure it was about the question: "You are in a tunnel and you see a crashed car: a)You stay in your car and don't give a fuck, b) I get out and try to help, c) and d) I don't remember but I chose b and I am pretty sure it was wrong ^^ So I know exactly what to do next time: Let them rotWhat kind of silly question is that? :p It all depends on the situation doesn't it? If there is fire/smoke then "GET THE HELL OUT OF THE DAMN TUNNEL!" (and even then, depending on the situation you might be able to drive away or if in a traffic jam, walk away and towards the nearest emergency exit or against the wind direction), you may have time to call the emergency services (112), it may seem wise to offer help or if the situation seems under control you may just continue on as if nothing happend at all.
Be able to use the emergency parking brake, point out gas pedal, brake pedal, how to turn lights on, where the emergency hazard lights button is, how to turn on the lights for night driving etc.Emergency parking break as in what normal people call the handbreak? Or are you talking about automatic gears (drive, park, neutral, reverse I guess? Never drove an automatic myself).
That migth work with paper exams but in NL the tests are on a computer. There is a large screen infront of the class and at every table/seat there is a small keypad device to enter the correct answer (A-B-C-D or delete) and you don't have a lot of time to answer the question. Read the question carefully, but even more important, look at the images with much detail too, sometimes the question itself is easy ("who has right of way?" but the image itself may have a rather complex or tricky situation.
Damaso, Here is another tip
Read the question 2 times very very well. Now dont look at the answers before you have read the question
Then read the 3 answers (do not make a judgement). I did this, and the first answer i came up with, was often the correct answer of the question. This is how i scored 48/50 on the third try of my theory lesson (you need 44/50 to pass. Now 2 years later it is 46/50)
Got 4 of them removed. Too bad the doc hit one of my nerves with his tools. Since then the right part of my jaw down to the right part of my chin feels numb. They said it will go away after half a year, because the nerve is only injured but not completely cut off. Now it's 3,5 years later and it's still numb. At first spit ran out of my mouth as I was unable to feel it but I got used to it and it does not happen anymore. It's not that I don't feel anything, but I don't seem to feel pain especially. Should head for the boxing business.Ouch, how did that happen? I had two wisdom teeth removed, the dentist did a local anesthetic near both teeth and used a set of (dental? I sure hope so, lol) pliers to pull the two teeth. The sound was horrible though, I can't describe it. Sort of a scraping noice.
I hope that everything will continue to be alright Torenico, I think the later they get removed the more painful it is gonna be. And when they are coming out and are placed weirdly it might get kinda uncomfortable for you.
Today standing on the train station platform, which I rarely do these days, a man, standing on the platform on the other side of the tracks, calls out to me.The euthensia laws in the Netherlands are still too strict if you ask me. Having said that, there is still much to enjoy in life and it's short as it is. But losing contact with friends and family must be horrible though. I can imagen that the poor man felt very much alone and abandoned, having no parter to fall back on too (that must be the greatest miss of all).
He asks me how he can get to my platform. So I yell you take the stairs, he say What? I yell again, this continues for a minutes, till he gets it.
He comes up to the platform I'm standing on and of course engages me in a conversation.
At first I was trying to busy myself with ym phone, but then thought, fuck it let's have a real conversation for a change.
So he told me he came from the hospital, he was suffering from anoxia- oxygen deprivation. You could tell form the way his veins were showing like he was tattooed all over his face.
The train arrived and I said he was welcome to join me in the carriage. So we continued our conversation and he said how the quality of life is degrading when you get older. He was 77. With friends and wife being dead. Children not coming to visit, little to no social contact with your neighbours.
So I asked him if he still was enjoying life as it is. He breaks down and starts to cry and starts to apologize for it, to which I replied that there is nothing wrong with getting emotional about these things.
So he tells me how upset he is with the way euthanasia is regarded by our legal system. There was recent media coverage about a man that was prosecuted who committed euthanasia on his mother because the doctor couldn't/wouldn't help him.
And a doctor that committed suicide after being investigated for helping with euthanasia.
After that he talked about that he sometimes gets help from complete strangers when he is struggling with his breath problem, so we concluded that life and people are not complete bleak and hopeless. At which time the train pulls into the Central Station of Utrecht and he thanks for me for the conversation.
I thank him too and think to myself it has been a while since I had a real conversation that didn't revolve around work, office politics or superficial jokes and small talk.
I'll count you as a blast from the past aswell. Cheers! And another blast from the past
Curious when Lobo or jumjum will make their reappearances.
I don't know if I'm a blast, but I'm from the past.
I've been following FHmod.org for months, well, in all the time I've been away. I'm looking forward to progress too.
Did somebody read aloud from the Necronomicon around here lately?Indiana Jones!
I do, and I collected more material too ( archieven.nl uploaded a whole load of new pictures, maps etc. including a bunch of blueprints of the bridge -which I already had obtained from other sources such as the ministery/department of public works- ).Glad you could make your reapperance Dontuz. Now get back to your cellar and finish that Arnhem map.
I was just thinking about Donutz' Arnhem assets and map idea the other day while watching 'Theirs is the Glory."
I hope you still have all your Arnhem stuff, Donutz!
