Random question: Why doesn't Vossenack get played on any servers? I understand there were some crash or lag issues in the last release, but what about in 2.45? I really miss that map.

So I've just had bad luck when joining the servers? The map rotation happened to be in a spot far away from Vossenack?

Think so. Played it a few times as well, not too often, pretty much what Theta said. I'd say you see it every third or fourth evening. I don't know about 762, but on hslan it's in the rotation.

Someone should make an app that notifies you when a certain map is played on a certain server. You would make millions!

Yep, the maplist is so long, that there's good chance that one certain map doesn't get played at all when there's players online.

This is something I ever wanted to say: Vossenack is one of my favorite maps. But not because of the unique map layout, or gameplay wise. There are other maps I like for that aspects.
But I like/hate Vossenack so much from a artistic point of view. I live in a comparable region of germany and the landscape and terrain looks basicly the same. Small villages, hills, small valleys with small creeks and this all between forrest and fields. When I look out of my window and the autuum begins it looks exactly like this map; even the sky texture covers perfectly the wheather in germany.
When I played vossenack for the first time, I took a trip along the road in the south to attack the south-western flag. It was scary because this could have been easily around the village where I live. I mean there are a lot of other maps which looks like the real places, but all those places are far away from my everyday life; just look at the real life versus fh thread. But playing Vossenack felt a little bit too close for me. Good job Kettcar and LiliMarlene!

My last words: For me this is one of the masterpieces in the mod and bring it back one some servers!

vossenack
hurtgen

these areas of germany are so beautifull in the autumn. The coloured leaves of the trees. The old styled houses. The very very friendly people. 3 cafe's i entered. All 3 of them, people saw i wassent local, asking from where me and my friends where. 2 cafe's we even recieved free drinks! Quite alot of people there who still felt guilty to what the imperials and the nazi's did to us in WW1 and WW2. Some where shocked to hear that few belgians felt a grudge against the germans.

On a sidenote. a girl i knew for quite a while i back with her boyfriend. This fucker beated her several times, forced her into sex things she did not like, cheated on her 15 times, he was flirting with her sister right in front of her...
She came crying to me and 2 other persons for her misery, pain and stress.

Yet she still goes back to him for the 3rd time.....
