Welcome to the death of conversations and serious restlessness whenever you don't have your phone in arms reach.

Edit: btw, this is my second post in this thread. Who would have thought I'd stay away from a "Revolting Uniting" thread?

I wonder if Beethoven, Bach, Goethe, or maybe Michelangelo and Da Vinci gave a lot of ratass about license like today's whiny copyright crazy artists.

No they didn't, but they were paid for their work by wealthy individuals and autocratic leaders, who could not buy and multiply copies of their work.

Both germany and italy were splitted into hundreds of individual states, loosely bound by the Reich and its emperor who was voted into office by the members. If the individual sovereigns wanted to be regarded powerful and cultivated, they had to keep up with the others in terms of culture. They paid musicians, philosophers, artists and academies. Thus you got that huge amount of german and italian artists.

Meanwhile it was the opposite in France and Britain. The landlords were strongly bound to the kings, had to spend their time in Paris and London and had to spend their money in the capitals instead of their counties. Thus they got these huge centralized capitals today, gleaming above the borders of the city as a symbol for the whole country.

Well, nobody asked for this, did somebody? :-\

I usually imagine my own sounds with it, like `tjunk, tupdieyupdiedee` aaa enemy spotted, ratatatataboom

Yeah, I read Beethoven's story, he was like supported by some noblemen, Graf something. I even read that Bach was invited to the palace by King Frederick the Great himself.

South-East-Asia to be precise.

And yeah, I like Bach. European history and culture are pretty much my breakfast. Because once or twice in everyday, you have to deal with it. From weird Greek mythologies to World War 2, I think, I could somehow picture what was happening, in much clearer description than specific ancient Chinese Dynasty era like warring states era, 5 dynasties era, Southern and Northern dynasties era etc etc.

Ah seriously? I thought a more expensive goon would finish the job. I'll just save more money for the next attempt..
