Setting up VoIP
« on: 16-05-2010, 22:05:39 »
I want to use VoIP, but I don't know how to. When I connect my speakers it clearly shows as functioning in Windows sound setting, it clearly shows as functioning in BF/FH2's mic test, but ingame, I press B to talk and I'm not sure anyone can hear me

Maybe the particular server doesnt have it on.If the Green speaker icon doesnt appear then it doesnt work.

thanks for that. Knew that though.. So essentially, that's all to it, no fancy stuff? How come more people don't talk with it then?

The Green speaker icon is finicky, as is the overlay that pops up to tell you who is speaking.  Sometimes they show up, sometimes they don't.  Best way to figure out if VoIP is working is to say something, then type in chat to ask if they can hear you, and probably ask them to say something so know you can hear.
