Perhaps something to do with III or IV Panzer Division? Or new recon vehicle?

Aah yes. Closest to Moscow of all the Heer vehicles... gotcha. Nice!  8)

I love fast and agile vehicles like this. Great work!
By the way, there used to be a Citroen 11CV with French military skin on some maps which seems to have been removed. Will it be available as a French military vehicle?

Question - is there a co-driver option to man the Reibel MG?

No, it’s just set up like the other armored cars as single player controlling everything. Keeps it a bit consistent with everything else in the mod.

A little bit off topic, but do you guys consider the possibility of some Soviet Shermans in the future? Actually, just a re-skinned standard M4A2 (anyone, Matthew?), like here https://www.o5m6.de/redarmy/m4a2_inlublin.php and here https://www.o5m6.de/redarmy/m4a2_76(w).php.

They would be useful to mostly maps from 1943 on, specially in the Ukrainian Fronts.

By the way, when I first read the "First to Moscow" announcement, I thought of an engagement in front of Moscow during Autumn/Winter 1941 (as the T-26 and BT-7 have been lurking around for some time on the Soviet vehicles page).

Anyway, wonderful update people, as usual. Can't wait to experience Fall Gelb!

Best regards,

batistadk

That would be neat, but afaik there's no M4A2 in the game.

Yea, we technically don’t have one. But some mappers have looked at making battles with Soviet Shermans before. For some reason lend lease Soviet equipment just seems like a cool scenario. That’s why I’m glad we were able to find documentation for Studienka. Hopefully in the future we can get one.

Damn, I always get confused with the huge Sherman family. A lot of models with minor differences between them. I was forced to check the files and the M4A2 is not there. Bump.

But yes, Lend Lease is a cool scenario indeed, just like that Thompson in Motovskyi or the rare Wolverine in Studienka. I hope a gifted dev take a look on this sometime in the future. Of course we already have the M3 Stuart and Lee like these https://www.o5m6.de/redarmy/m3_volkhov.php, but they would need early scenarios, mainly in 1942.

Thanks guys for the heads up!

Best regards,

batistadk

We will probably eventually end up having various lend-lease things if people keep developing FH2. I believe TS4 had interest in having a map with lend-lease Shermans. I'd love to see Lee's, Stuarts, Churchills and Matilda II's as well. Not to forget the Ford GPA which we've had since 0.7. :)

The Red Army still used them on secondary fronts, such as Petsamo-Kirkenes Offensive in late 1944 (with T-26s, KV-1s etc.).
