99.7% positive ? Don't you think you're exagerating a bit too much ?I know that I'm not a beta and I know shit about developement progress, but I must disagree. There shouldn't be any alternative shader for anyone. All play the same FH2 under the same conditions or do not play any FH2. I guess you are in "0,3%"
Anyway, for those who are concerned about blur/vignette/color changes, don't worry. There should also be an alternative shader without those effects for those who can't stand them for a reason or another.
I would like to see screenshot in full size, is that possible?yeah. some higher resoliution pics would be nice
I'm sure you're aware that everything apart from what your eyes focus directly on in real life is out of focus? ...yeah, as Josh said. This thing is called eye accommodation. This is something so obvious because it is natural (unless you have astigmatism or something?) that many of us simply don't pay attention to it. And when our sight is usually focused on whole screen it requires to simulate this effect in game and this is probably the best way to do this on 6 year old game engine without affecting gameplay much.
...The film grain is OK but the vignetting around the corners is really annoying in my opinion. Both in the screenshots and in the video.there isn't much of this effect, some screenshots are ironsighted what enhances vignetting. Also, what is most important to me - this solution improves camuflage as everything is less cartoonish clear. It works like free anti alliasing and make things feel more natural - this is what I've noticed from that sreenshots (and was told here before)... just do not look at FH2 through the prism of the newest games!
why would you add a Film grain to the graphics. that's about the stupidest thing I have seen.AFAIK devs took care of it and different settings do NOT give you advantages and disadvantages (at least they reduce them to minimum what makes it tolerably fair for everyone). Unfortunately for you this game is smacktard / dickhead-proof in many ways...
I thought FH was about reality. Its not like we are watching a movie. We are supposed to be playing in first person. Are you know saying people in the 40's had Film grain vision?
This really just becomes another reason to play on low settings because you cut out most of the crap like undergrowth and effects and it gives you 10 times better battlefield situational awareness.

I think the trailer is great jan kurator. Did you make the Liberation trailer as well?Good to hear that you like it, but it's made by beta tester Kubador for clarification! I have nothing to do with that teaser and don't know who made "Liberation" trailer
Love the grain effect, it's a bit in your face, but I'm sure it'll be different when we're ingame. Not unlike a ticking clock which you don't hear after a while.
It's a little but very annoying issue.
You can solve it with the following procedure:
- start up editor
- load your map
- start photoshop (can be simply the program without any pic.. or whatever you like)
- close photoshop
- now it works.
Had this as well and it drove me crazy. It's a driver or something similar that is not loaded by Vista or Win7. Not sure which other program contain that little driver in the case you don't have photoshop. Download the free trial over at adobe and it works.
cheers
Nissi
win7 is afaik lacking some dll file that is loaded in winxp and photoshop does load it and fixes the problem.
The shadows stand out more, the bright sunny desert looks brighter and the overcast skys just look darker...
the last pic of jan_kurator is a good example, the grain effect is way less obvious in the current build. that picture makes it look very bad.Dude, I compared those screens to show how f*cking amazing are new effects. They look very GOOD imo!
