Gang,

I haven't played in a while, but my system automatically updated the mod; everything seems fine in the main screen, and when I choose a map but...
When I get to the screen where I choose my side and my kit, it starts to stutter: the comments stutter; the screen stutters; naturally it is very hard to get my cursor onto where I want it, but oddly enough once I get 'in game' everything kind of works alright.

Any idea what I might have done wrong?

Gang,

I always play SP (even if it means doing coop against bots) but lately I've found when I start with one team after I get myself killed off, I get 'switched' to the opposing team. Is there any way to stop this from happening?

FH2 Help / Support / A strange problem

After I got my latest version of FH2 to actually work, now I am noticing that when I'm actually playing a game, there's something missing. There used to be digital counters for each time 'counting down' as their player bots are killed off; I no longer can see those counters. Now all I see is a colored 'health-bar' that slowly shrinks down as casualties are suffered. Is there any way to get those 'digital counters' back?

Hi,

The FH2 GUI asks me if I want to update, I hit yes. After a rather long download, I try to start the game and I get this error that stops me dead in my tracks:

(a Red circle with a white "X" thru it)

Gang;

I was replaying the Omaha Beach scenario with co-op (so me vs a bunch of bots) and I was surprised that I cannot take over various fixed emplacements (Lafette Mgs; PAKs etc); used to be all I had to do was press 'use(G)' and I would take control of the weapon, whether there was another guy on the gun or not;
Has something changed?

I have just noticed, in a couple of maps (Cobra and 'Hurt Again Forest') that the Stg III SP guns no longer have a co axial machinegun for the gunner to use? Am I mistaken or do I need to re-calibrate my keyboard?

I'm sure I've asked this before but I cannot find the thread so here it goes again:

Where do I change my bot count in SP? I am now being vexed by being an attacker in maps like Keren, Point Du Hoc and Omaha Beach. Is there a way to change the numbers for the attack so they totally overwhelm the defender? IE: go from nearly even odds to say 3 or 4 attacker for every defender?

Won an SP round as the Americans on the 'Hurt-Again' Forest Map but it was a VERY close run thing; the REALLY decisive factors were the half tracks and the Sherman tanks but I started to get into trouble when my Sherman began to run out of HE ammo for the main gun and ammo for the .50 and the Co-Axial and hull machine guns.
Is there any way we can 'resupply' our tank?

The battle for Keren is vexing me-in my last go round we captured everything except for Keren Town and Keren station but we had suffered too much attrition to get there and we timed out;

Sure the Eritrean countryside is terribly rough in real life, but my main thing is how armor has to be channeled down the creekbeds. Is there a way for engineers to clear a path thru the mines and allow thanks to go up and over some of the pathways? Not to mention Ascedra Valley could probably use an indirect approach.
Not to mention, the cruisers and matildas don't have HE shells for their tanks nor do they have 'hull gunners'. Italian infantrymen are proving to be a very troublesome obstacle.

I am, as usual, enjoying my solo gaming on my favorite map--Operation Cobra as the German A/T grenadier in the Water Mill...the AT grenade works wonders on all targets as I have said before BUT...I seem to recall there was one Allied Loadout that had the following:

M1 Garand Rifleman armed with a A/T rifle grenade as well as hand thrown frags, but I can't remember if it's on all the maps. I would love to have the A/T grenades to fire as well as ones I can throw out of windows.
Maybe it's on another map or maybe not--can anyone direct me to the particular loadout?

Singleplayer and Coop / Le German Satchel Charge!

Been trying out a new weapon in the watermill at Operation Cobra; now...along with the anti tank grenade, I found the engineer satchel charge to be quite a formidable weapon. Now here's the dumb question-how do we throw the thing out a window? I try but it usually lands in the same floor I am on resulting in a 'vaporized' me. Now if I get overrun, I can creep down the stairs of the watermill & toss the charge out the door & run like hell for the corner upstairs but to just shove it or toss it out a window seems to be 'undoable'.

I found out recently that the Port El Besin map includes some of the buildings that were featured in the famous (and fictional) battle of Ouistreham Casino in the movie 'The Longest Day'.  So  then...where are these particular buildings?

G'day gang:

While I have taken my leave of FH2 for the time being, the ONE thing that stuck with me was during Dukla Pass (or was it Arad?)...anyway, I had a hell of a problem with the IS 2 Stalin tank. I would hit it head on and even from the flank with a Panther's main gun & the shot would just ricochet off....so like the Matilda is a problem--how do I kill the Stalin? Do I need to creep around & hit it from the rear or the flank? DO I suicidally run up to it with a satchel charge? Or do I try to lure it in front of a 'handy' 88 flak gun?
