Very nice, three different perspectives. Can't wait to play it in a week, bought the 'season pass' a month or so ago exactly for this.

The new faction pack is out and its quite the fun for only 5 euro's. The Red army sniper mission makes you feel like stalingrad and enemy at the gates. The heavy nazi assault mission makes you feel like an actual heavy (weapons guy)
And the polis ranger mission is very fun. Basicly its like a minigame. you start with little. you collect items, trade them in for MGR currency, buy more fancier equipment, collect more stuff. Very fun but the mission is pretty darn difficult...........i will not spoil anything but really, Check EVERY corner......And dont go ill equipped...pack as much filters as you can

Damn, wish I could play, but I need to finish the level Bandits to get the save in.  I just suck at it.  Too many nosalises and one always kills me when I'm reloading or by somehow avoiding the shotgun blast to the face and jumping through me to attack from behind.

I thought there was far too much dialogue :< There were times where I wanted to say "where's your point and how do I get to it".. you spend so much time listening to the other characters talk.

My brother gifted me "LL" as an early birthday present, so once I´ve finished my last exam (and I´ll be sober again) on Tuesday I´ll get back into the Metro. Can´t wait to discover the horrors of Glukhovskys future world!
And so he spoke, and so he spoke, that lord of Castamere,
But now the rains weep o'er his hall, with no one there to hear.
Yes now the rains weep o'er his hall,
and not a soul to hear.

Alright, so right now I´m around 2 hours into the game and so far the game has a really nice atmosphere. It manages to visualize Glukhovskys world really well and especially the outdoor levels look amazing.
What annoys me, though, is how much the game feels like a theme park. There are many passages where the player loses control of the character and has to watch his screen passively. Much of the important game mechanics are simply explained to the player instead of letting him figure it out on his own. For example the weakness of the light sensitive spider/scorpion mutants is casually explained and this takes away alot of suspension and possible excitement.
There are areas, of course, where the player can act on his own, but so far it feels like the "passive" parts are in the majority...hopefully that´ll improve, otherwise I´ll be a bit disappointed by the game. I would love to have much more time to explore the different areas instead of being ushered through one corridor after another and being forced to passively watch dialogue...right now I´m  being walked from one roller coaster to another with very little space to act on my own.
Otherwise the game is quite nice, especially the variety of guns is great, plus the environment looks "gorgeous", just like a nuked city "should" look like. Now, where did I put my last filter...?

It gets a lot more independent after you and Pavel part ways.
