Thought I might kickoff another interesting thread.
It's about artwork in either WW1, WW2, modern day etc..
The rules are:
- One picture per member per day.
- All artwork, no real life photos.
- Only posts with pictures and discussing the pictures are allowed.
- Posts in violation of these rules will be deleted without warning.

I've seen this painting before, and it always strikes me as odd. There is a large russian attack in front and yet only one person appears to care or be firing at it, no one is manning the MG, and there's some guy who apparently sees, and is shooting at, Russians behind them but no one seems to notice or care either. The NCO is telling a pull my finger joke to the bored guy next to him, and the guy on the far left is staring at a beetle crawling over the straw. It's a very confusing painting.

I think it perfectly captures the absurdity of a war when you put it like that...
Anyway let's try some less "realistic" artwork, I found this one a while ago:

Perhaps you're right. (I lossed it when you described the NCO by "pull my finger joke" ;D)
Anyway, I have always loved this one:

I immediately thought of the Typhoon pics when you posted this thread. You might recognise this one from a signature I use
(http://www.directart.co.uk/mall/images/800s/dhm2711.jpg)
Unfortunately most Typhoon attack pics are about destroying Tigers which is not very representative.

Fall Gelb 1940(2): Airborne assault on the Low Countries(Osprey)
On the picture I don't see any airborne troops, but I do see French tanks and their crews. Coul still be Fall Gelb, of course, but it doesn't seem like the low countries to me.
-
It's the cover picture of a book with that title.

Ah, that explains it. Part one is called Panzer breakthrough in the west, which looks cool too, btw:

I'll show you something I've done month ago. Note it look less broken in reality. ;D

My favorite alt/1946 ww2 artwork. Also one of my favorite model kit artworks.
That Ratte just looks so menacing and impregnable next to its little mice.

Cool pic. What airplane should that represent (prototype)?
-
That's a Heinkel He 112. Why there is a flame behind it, I have no idea. I guess it's a downed aircraft. I guess it's supposed to be the Spanish civil war

It's the He112R, a rocket testbed:

Yeah, try a paratrooper landing, be it FJ, Brits or US Airborne.

No. How about soviet paratroopers that are armed with the PPD?

Today I was playing pinturillo with friends and a random guy said I suck at drawing. I was absolutely emotionally devastated ;D so I decided to prove myself in front of my friends 8). Look what I did in MS Paint with mouse:

P.S: How can I be cool and post big pictures like everyone in this thread? It doesn't allow me to upload because file size is above 200KB.
P.S 2: BTW this is my first time creating something digital.
