Invasion of Manchuria

I know this is a long way off but I think it would be interesting once we arrive at the Eastern Front. This would definitly be a unique battle to fight in Forgotten Hope 2. Not saying it would happen soon, but someday this would be nice.

Well known here, and yes, it is a long way off, and thus not very useful to suggest.   :-\

No harm in suggesting it. It would make an interesting discussion on how the map should play and everything.

Problem is Desert, its years away, if ever, and anything discussed here would be long forgotten....

for the basis, we could use the Manchuria map of IL-2 Sturmovik 1946

Good point, I mean, before anyone points out that Japanese tanks were no match for Shermans either, they did have a terrain advantage in the Pacific. Not so much in Manchuria I don't think, however.

Exactly, Japan had Terrain Superiority during Manchuria. IS2-T34 are no Match for Japanese Infantry and their Magnetic mines!

They only need to lob a HE on the ground, all dead. Since they are invincible to tanks they could simply load HE all the time.

Still, nothing beats Katana + Suicide bomb.

The japs actually did use kamikaze tactics on the russian tanks.  IIRC, it wasn't very effective.  Scared the crews shitless, but otherwise just smashed around them, not through them.

Well we can give the Japanese lots of tickets, some suicide kits, and plenty of small tanks. I think it could be a good battle. I am sure there was at least a few rough fights for the soviets in Manchuria, even if it was on the small scale, ambushes and such.
