No. Remember most HEAT weapons can penetrate more than 100mm, so for anti-HEAT shields to have any effect they need to be at least 10 cm away from the armour, or it will cut through both the protective shield and the armour.

I suppose thats reasonable.  Just as long as once you move out of Normandy and are making M4A3s for the Americans one of them is covered in sandbags like the FH1 M4A1.

So, on the british maps there will be 4 tanks for the brits: Sherman II,V,VC and Cromwell, or will there only be some of these (like II or V)?  I take it that the texture limit means the brits won't get any M5A1s.

Perhaps they will give them only one type of 75mm Sherman, depending on the unit that fought the battle.

depends on what jumbo you got your hands on
the "bad" version with the normal 75mm M3 gun as all shermans have or the upgunned 76mm version which is really deadly

Not really. Since they both can 1s1k eachother generally, armor means nothing. Sherman is thus faster and rotates its turret faster aswell.
