Howdy Folks,
     I have recently been working on getting the Bots to use submarines, and I'm close to a solution, however I'm being blocked currently, by this error:

Enter PCO just before lodObj

     It's happening when one of the bots jumps into one of the submarine positions, simply a passenger position. Has anyone ever come across this error, and if so, do you happen to know how to fix it? Or what might be going wrong?

Hello Folks,
     My name is Joshua, better known as Professor_Smith. Firstly I wanted to apologize to those of you I have rudely, or aggressively responded to over the last many years. It's just that when I have sought help from you folks, you experienced and knowledgeable modders, some of the FH developer community, have responded to me in an extremely aggressive manner, insulting both myself, and the 20-plus years of work that I have put into my mini mod, HTroop. Again I just wanted to apologize for my way of reacting. For the last 13 years, I have had a chronic pain condition, in my upper right gums, called Trigeminal Neuralgia V2. It was caused by an oral surgeon removing my wisdom teeth, and leaving a Jawbone exposed, which became infected. So for the last 13 years, 24/7/365, it has felt like there is a hot razor blade stuck halfway into my upper right gums. In addition, this painful nerve, which runs up into my brain, has been inflamed many many times. Many a time, I have been working on HTroop, even while in extreme amounts of pain, doing my best to work through it, and when someone I have asked for help, responds in a aggressive and rude manner, attacking me and all of the strife and grief and pain that I've gone through, to complete this mod, and work through all of its issues, it does frustrate me quite a bit, and tends to anger me. 3 years ago, I was finally diagnosed with this condition officially. Before that time, multiple dentists and oral surgeons thought that my condition was simply bad roots, so they continued to rip out teeth in my upper right mandibular. The reason I have explained all of this, is that though it was not right of me as a Christian man, to respond the way I did, I wanted to let all of you know, who were offended by my comments, that at the time, it was extremely difficult for me to control my reactions, to such insults. Over the last 3 years, I have had a procedure done, called gamma knife, which helped to alleviate about 40% of the pain in the affected nerve. Though it has not completely cured me, I am in a lot less pain, and I am not reacting as defensively or as aggressively these days. I am seeing a specialist, and though I'm told that the condition will never go away, the treatment, is helping up to alleviate another 10 or 20% of the pain.

In addition, I wanted to think all of the game designers / modders out there, that not only responded to me in a polite manner, but tried their best to help me in my endeavor. Those of you such as Lobo, Thorondor123,
Torenico, Desertfox, and many others, came to my rescue and defense, against the more toxic responses some of your team, and I thank you with all of my heart. I appreciate the fact that you understand all that I've gone through, and the fact that once I had started this project, I could not stop, until I have finished my work, and proven, not only to others, but myself, that I can give something to the world, that I have worked on myself.  I am still working on HTroop, but I've gotten a lot further, thanks to all of you, and many other devs and modders from other forums.

Modding / Can anyone help me find a solution to this error?

Howdy Folks,
     I have been working on trying to make it so that bots can use submarines, in my Bf1942 minimod, HTroop, and I've almost got it figured out. However, there is an error that I remember encountering many years ago , that I am encountering again, but I never made notes on it for some reason. Can anyone help me figure out the solution to it? The error is:

Enter PCO just before lodObj

It occurs when the map loads, just after a bot spawns into position #6 (a passenger position) in the submarine). I have Soldier spawns in all PCOs of the vehicle, so the bots/players can spawn directly into the Submarines positions.

Howdy Folks,
     Professor_Smith here again with another mind boggling modding issue.  Firstly, the HTroop modding team and I just released HTroop v1.2 Beta.  It can be found on ModDB.com, at:  http://www.moddb.com/mods/na32358
     Secondly, when running a Dedicated Server for our Play Testers, a bunch of important edits regarding flame effects caused by flame throwers, lazer towers, and more, are being removed by the Dedicated Server.  I have tried so many different ideas and combinations of scripts, but nothing works to allow the Supply Depot effects to work, unless playing in Singleplayer Mod, or running a LAN or Internet game from the Game Menu.
     I need a Dedicated Server Expert here that thinks outside the box, to help me figure out a Command or Script (or process) that will allow Supply Depots run from Effects files or in conjunction with Damage Effects, to run over a Dedicated Server.
     Or I need a way or a command, to Trick the Dedicated Server or the Game Engine into thinking that it is running a Dedicated Server, while running more like a LAN or Internet Server as if run from the game menu, where NO EDITS are removed from the Host or Clients.

     Can anyone help me?

FH 0.7 Help / Support / How do I use this admin command?

Hello Folks,
     My name is Joshua Hales (known as Professor_Smith in the Bf1942 forums and Grand_Admiral on the servers).  I am working on playtesting & doing finishing touches for my minimod, HTroop v1.1, but in the mod near the end of most maps, there are usually bot scouts (using the rocketpack) up in the air, avoiding getting wacked by their opponents.  However, the problem, is that they are so smart, that they refuse to come down out of the air, unless there are no enemies around at the time.
     So, I looked up some admin commands, and found this one:

game.killPlayer [ID]

     I know I can type this into the admin console to have effect, and I think I can use it to kill off any rocketpack hovering scouts refusing to let the map end.  However, how do I know what number ID or whatever ID, should go in the [ID] slot?  Also, do I use the brackets [ and ], in the command?

     I was also wondering if there was a way (a command or a button I can program in) to kill all the remaining bots at the same time in a map?

Hello,
     Most of you know me by now.  My name is Joshua Hales (known as Professor Smith in the various Bf1942 Forums, and as Grand Admiral on the various Bf1942 Servers - in which I have frequented and performed my duties as a serious and supportive fellow soldier).  I am seeking a server owner that is willing to place my (not so mini) mini-mod, HTroop v1.0b81 on their gaming server.  I guarantee that you will have players.  There are many that have downloaded and installed HTroop, but are just waiting for me to place it on a server, so that they can play.  I even game Bf1942 mod reviewers on standby, waiting for an HTroop server to go up, so that they can livestream as they play and review it (which will also bring players to your server).  It is a lot to download and install, but if you think about it, a lot of the mods HTroop requires to run, are mods that you yourselves area already running on your servers (such as Road to Rome, Secret Weapons of WWII, Forgotten Hope, Desert Combat, and more).  So installing a few extra smaller mods and then a larger one (HTroop v1.0b81), wouldn't be much wast of hd space.
     If you are truly interested in running an HTroop server (and promise that you won't change the mod - i.e. server side modding it, so that players can't enter uncapturable bases, or changing the game mechanics, etc.), please contact me by replying to this post or PMing me.

I just wanted everyone to know that it took me a lot of time to get to the point where I could actually afford to use some of my spending money to rent a dedicated server to run HTroop v1.0b8. I thought that it'd be up for a year, but I could only afford 3 months. So, I only have roughly, another month left to get players on there, playing at the same time, testing out everything that HTroop has to offer. I promise to release something soon, describing more in depth, what HTroop v1.0b8 is, and why it is not like other mods you've played. How else could I have gotten 12 mods to work in unison? So, if you are interested in giving it a try, as I have done many a time, trying out and playing on various servers for bf1942 vanilla & modded, please do so now. Unless I actually get players starting to try it out online, and playtest a bit for the mod, review it, post it, something, the 14 years of creation for the entertainment of others, and all those playtesters work before you, would be for nought. Please join me in playing HTroop v1.0b8, by registering for free at my forum, which will go down with the server (most likely). Once registered, I will activate your account, at which time, you may login, see the downloads link, click it, and be redirected to the downloads page. General Discussion / Can anyone help me figure this out?

Okay, so now there is one other issue I am running into.  The server is still running, no problem there.  However, something I created (the ability for flamethrower fire, lazer tower fire, and other fire effects to burn on objects and the ground and actually damage/kill soldiers if they get to close), seems to be working in SinglePlayer games & over a LAN, but over the dedicated server, it only has the visual effect of burning.  However, it does not damage or kill any soldiers over the dedicated server.  I have tried multiple combinations of networkableinfo settings, adding an end effect template to the projectile, adding the burning effect template to the projectile, etc., and nothing seems to fix this issue.  Can anyone help me fix this?  I have flamethrowers that use this effect, I have flame weapons on tanks that use it, and I have a lazer tower (yes, spelled that way on purpose), that used the effect.
