So what the heck is this?
I downloaded a patch from this site but it doesnt seem to work:

I'm so pissed off because I've tried to make this work about three hours but no! Every time I install the patch, it doesn't update it. I have still the version 1.1XXXX

You need patch 1.41 and then you can have the 1.5 patch...

sry for german site, but i guess download is spelled the same in many languages
or simply google for bf2 patches

But I installed the version 1.4 from the site which link is on my first post but it didn't seem to work..
I'll try to make this work.. Let see..
OK. So now it works. The version number in the game doesn't change but still the version changes.
Sorry for my bad english. English is not my native language.

you wrote patch 1.4
everyone else wrote patch 1.41
small difference in numbers but huge difference in patches ;)
and btw what do you mean it doesn't update ?
does the installer/patcher abort the patching ? if yes does it give out any error message ?
if both of the patches run without any complaints it should have worked.
the version number INGAME (in the upper right i think) will NOT show version 1.41 or 1.5 it will be some different long number.the number for patch version 1.5 is 1.5.3153-802.0
