This is all too confusing! Part of the reason i wanted to design maps, rather than make them myself :P

it shouldne be hard.

Create a folder called

Objects

Fonts

Common

Shaders.

Select Common_Client and Common_Server and extract all of its files into common folder.

Same with Fonts, Menu (Menu folder already exist, extrack content into Menu), Objects and Shaders.

Then Download the Spawners and place them into BF2/BF2 Editor/Mods/fh2

These Step by Step Helps are IN the Tutorials, Aggroman give you the Link.
If you want to Map, you must spend a lot of Time to read this Tutorials, work Step by Step and learn when u working. Its not easy but when u are concentrated, not a wizzard job.
if you only post your suggestion about a mapidea, i think you will find nobody, whos doing the job for you.

Mapping is.

Hard

Time Consuming

Frustrating (When you post a pic of your map, sometimes you get alot of negative feedback)

Spend days working on its base, llike Flags, Statics and later Vehicles and things like Push Mode and Dummy Flags.

Im not trying to destroy your dream of becoming a mapper. When i mapped for the first time i quitted really fast. Then i came back a few months ago and now im sticking with it. I really love mapping and i think its a wonderfull experience.

They are in Battlefield 2/Mods/FH2

All of these files are RARs, Fonts_Client, Menu_Client etc.

Fenring made a very good tutorial, please read it carefully. And if questionmarks still are left, register a user at bfeditor.org and ask there, you will get answer within hours. Even though BF2 modding is pretty dead except established mods like FH2, PR, XWWII etc, there are still hordes of dudes roaming that forum and they like to help out (as they don't work on any mod).

I just reinstalled my mapping PC, installed Bf2 + patches + FH2 + editor and could start mapping in 3minutes, it is not a big deal.

1) make a copy of the fh2 folder (rename it fh2MAP for example)
2) install Bfeditor
3) extract the files like fenring explains
4) start editor, load fh2MAP mod
5) map

honestly, that's all you need.

Where do i extract them to know i've made a copy?

first rename the folder "copy of fh2" to "fh2copy" as you can't have spaces between names in a mod, filepaths will be fubar:ed.

then, inside this fh2copy folder you see all the .zip files that make up the mod you want to edit.
extract these like the picture says, so all the object zip's are extracted to a folder called objects all the common zips (2 of them) goes in to a common folder, etc etc...
