Uhm Natty, I'm not stealing Cod and BIA sounds! I've got those games, and have downloaded sound mods. Modders allowed me to use it, so I don't understand where is the problem...

I will NOT upload/ share my modification because, it supposed to be use in private.

Note: I'm uploading Meuse River 1944 gameplay on Daylimotion, it's pretty long!

Hello and welcome to this topic!

First of all, i used Watchtower sound mod and it's really amazing.

But, when I watched FH1 movies, I realized that I wanted to have some rifle's sound changed anyway.

So I used Band of Brothers soundmod for Call of Duty, Day of Defeat and Explosives' sound from Brothers in Arms game.

Here are new sounds used:

M1 Garand, M1 Carbine, MG42(3p, no 1p changed), .30cal (1p and 3p), K98 (1p and 3p)

Whizby, Impacts, Ricochets ...

Mortar and grenade explosions.

(Note: I will upload a gameplay video on Meuse River 1944)

Sounds not working (looping issue):

Bar 1918, M1A1 Thompson.

Ok, now questions:

-How can I solve looping issue?

-How can I hear more bullet-crack, bullet-fly? Because, I think I hear:

1-Explosion (Bass) and Heartbeating (explosion nearby/shock)
2-Rifles...
3-Whizby, Ricochets, bullet-crack ...

Hey,
I've got some bad news... Well, for me!!

I can't install BF2 anymore. Installation crashes when it asks me if I want it to place shortcuts on my desktop, I clicked "Yes" and then error window appears (it says: AddFolderIcon failed: EA Games\Battlefield 2, "D:\Jeux\EA Games\Battlefield 2\Support\European Help Files\fr-fr\EA_Help_fr.htm") and finaly, a last window appear to announce me that the installation is over.

So, I'm going to suicide myself, because, I don't understand why it's doing that shit to me. God damn bug!


Note: Sorry for double-post...
Note 2: I've tried again, it crashed but I noticed what does the error message says.

Hi,

I've got thhis problem now...Don't know exactly why.

Well, I was mapping, I tried my map on local server. Since this time I can't join any MP server, only SP game.

I didn't find any solution.

Last things I did with FH2:

- Installed FH 2.4 using Desura (why? Because of a problem that occured when I used Torrent files. FH2 won't install even if I used compatibilty options on W7.)
- Install Watchtower1001 soundmod
- No problem since may/june last years.
- Mapping, Testing on local server.
- Unable to join MP servers.
- Because of this problem, I've reinstalled FH2*.


Note: FH2 and BF2 are installed on another HardDrive. (D:/Jeux/EA Games/Battlefield 2)
Note 2: Jeux? Yes, I'm french.
Note 3: I can't play on PR and BF2 MP servers too... Interesting... It's an external problem obviously!

It's me, Cpr.Collins (ingame). You wrote on in game tchat there will be an update today, so I wonder why you're not releasing it.

And by the way, which graphic equalizer is it? I use Realtek one, but there is no scale, so I can't have the same settings that you have.

Note for admin: I know this topic has not been posted in for at least 120 days, but it should be updated.

Well I'm about to restart.

I will use Terragen and 3DEM even if it gives me a weird terrain... Got to manage to do what I want to do with this software.

You're right, my map is too little. But I really worked on it, so I don't want to start again.

Planked fences: Ok, thank you, I'll find those.

I already read the topic and it says that I got to delete plants on surrounding terrain. I did it except for Bois Jacques, I don't want to delete overgowth and undergrowth in there. I'm stuck!

Jesus, it's hard to make a good map!!

I also want you to notice that it's my first FH2 map....

I got a problem...

I can't test my map in local server. Eveytime I try it, it crashes. (36%/44%/46%)

Topic about map crashes pourcentage says taht I have to delete overgrowth and undergrowth on the secondary terrain, but I don't know what's the secondary terrain.

By the the way, does anybody can explain me where I can find planks fences?

Can I use France stuff?

There is not all objects and building I want in Bulge file. Like I want to make a realistic map with building wich look like real ones, I got to choose some France buildings. I know they maybe won't have snow on teir rooftops.

Thanks for your comments.

I tried to laucnh a local server to see what does it look like, but BF2 crashed at 44-46%.

Also, at this time, I try to draw fields. To do that, I need fences, I used woodenfence_snow, and farmbarbedwire_fence (north africa!!).But I need a fence made with planks... And those barbed wire fences which can be found on Bastogne next to Bizory.

Last thing, here is the attack plan during the real attack AFAIK.

I didn't know that!

This model is include in fh2/staticobject/bulge/foychurch

So if dev's are working on Foy, they'll use it... Even if I noticed some textures problem on the roof...

Please tell me what does it look like...

And, some screens, 4 of the forest south of foy and one showing western farm (the first real "E" company's objective) from Bois Jacques.

I saw that a guy made a SNOW_BF2Tpaint,

his link to download it is dead so maybe someone have it and could re-upload it!!

I'm not so proud of my textures in fact...Those are too complex,I want to make the same texture than Bastogne map.

Snow textures are my only problem becuse there is no "snow.dds" in ColorTexture...


Also, I can show you some screenshots of what my map lokks like in the game, and the same points of view in Foy ( the real town):

Yes, of course, but I need your help finally...



I love this blue (frozen) snow and a king of brown/white for differents forests.

BUT (there are always BUT), high, low and steep are well when you look at them from far away, but when I get closer, I've gota orange snow. I would like to have the same texture than foxholes (I mean "foxholes" objects).

It starts to annoying me really, really much.

I was looking for Snow Texturing tutorials all night long, and I did'nt find anything...

You got files to help me...What are they?

"I will hunt you up for files" He he, maybe my  TGA's textures... That's all I can give you.


Actually,

- I know how to use Tpaint with my textures.
-I don't know how to make realistic snow textures when you look at the ground ( Detail texture Mod)

Edit: I know now, how to do it, my snow textures were too white again, I'm about to change them!! I understand how it works!

See? I'm proud of me, I understand how it works, finally!!

I'll have to paint foxholes (of cliff) by myself and it'll be alright.
