2 people commit suicide? here its 7 people a day. and the population is the same size. So it cant be that depressing there after all.

Can we see it in perspective? like some actual numbers so we know if its good or bad? if you had a 3k pension (like when you retire at age 55 in some state run company), and then a 45% reduction then you still have 30% more then the average pension in Belgium.

I call anti European propaganda on the poster. It does not even say where they got the data or even who published it.

You greeks have been spending money you don't have, no you will be making money you don't get for some time to balance it out.

Just like here where the Germans are seen as the evil masterminds behind all the crisis, media there dictates to you that all Greeks get many euromonnies at 55 for no work at all and have been living golden lifes with loaned money. While we did loan extreme amounts of money and people have kept their mouths shut about it (honestly who wouldn't) its simply not fair to put everyone on the same basket.

My grandmother worked from her 14 till her 65, she gets 830 euro pension per month. How much would she get in Greece? she made clothing.

How much is rent in Greece? an 100M² house here with 2 bedrooms sets you back 650 a month. Gas and electricity another 100, water 40, telephone, internet and tv another 70. Food at least 200 a person.

Just saying that unfortunaltily for all the greek people, but you needed this. But be happy, its nearing its end, soon things should be improving again.

Protip: dont try ripping of your tourists, i know several people now that waned to go to greece, liked the location, went there, found the local people extremely rude, found that they where getting scamed all the time and had to pay ridiculous prices, and now go to turkey instead since its better there.

The statistics may be a bit exaggerated, but we get the message. Greek works more hours than the average Europeans. They are actually working like in a sweatshop. The Germans meanwhile, worked with relative ease, and less hours even compared to Socialist France and self-proclaiming industrious Britain.

The Greek's issue is just their government is totally incompetent and bunch of elitists not caring about going to the fields and learning what the real problem is. Also apparent problem: some of the people's own pride and refusal to take the blame.

It happens here as well, we are in recession, we can't rely on exporting shit like palm oil and coal (which fuel our economic boom back in 2009-2012, hence inclusion on the BRICK). People here just don't realise that we are in deep trouble, last month (April 2014), we were experiencing a nearly USD 1 billion trade deficit. The surplus we made in the last few months were artificially created by withholding imports and shipments. In total, we are screwed just like Greece if both of us (Greece and Indonesia) don't change course (stop being a tour guides for rich Europeans or palm oil farmers).

Here is BBC programme about Britons living as "average" German by statistics in Nuremberg.

The "Thomas" is a pencil factory worker and the "Sabine" is a housewife. See why Germans work less hours than all of us.

Same, if not less than that for a clothing business.

How much is rent in Greece? an 100M² house here with 2 bedrooms sets you back 650 a month. Gas and electricity another 100, water 40, telephone, internet and tv another 70. Food at least 200 a person.
Depending on location and age of the building it can cost you from 300 to 700 a month. Electricity for a house like that would mean for a 5 member family like mine is (if we still all lived together) 120€ (since we are 4 males with 1 female, in other case it would be a lot, lot more), water at around 50, maybe more maybe less. Telephone and internet at 22€ a month using Cyta a Cypriot provider.

Just saying that unfortunaltily for all the greek people, but you needed this. But be happy, its nearing its end, soon things should be improving again.

No i am actually happy that it happened during my lifetime, i am just not happy that we will still be the same shit after this crisis. People keep spending money they dont have for things they don't need. My best friend instead of saving money for a drivers licence when he was working spend it for tattoos. It seems i am one of the few who is actually working and saving money then buying stuff with a plan.

Protip: dont try ripping of your tourists, i know several people now that wanted to go to greece, liked the location, went there, found the local people extremely rude, found that they where getting scamed all the time and had to pay ridiculous prices, and now go to turkey instead since its better there.

Indeed some assholes are like that and it would be best if you had a local to help you out. When my Finnish friend was visiting i got him into all museums for free and he did not pay a single thing other than his own souvenirs. But once again it all also depends on the place. Most places in the capital would not dare scam tourists as the officials would rip them apart.
