The Sledge side arm in the pacific
« on: 10-05-2010, 19:05:16 »
You know I was sure the side use in the pacific by Sledge was the m1917 revolver, but on another forum I saw it was the  M1909 revolver.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colt_New_Service

This beauty was use by US, Canada and UK in ww2 and also in ww1 (maybe the NML mod can make it and give it to FH2 team) and boers war.
It's a .45 for the US army and the canadian, but for the british army it's a .455 (like the webley).

356,000 was made, that why I think it will be a great addition to the game.

Same thing really,
Anyway, you'll be seeing it in 2.26. It was shown long ago in a news update.

Actually, its been updated a bit since that render. You'll have to wait for 2.26 to see it yourself ;)

It was adopted by the U.S. Armed Forces in .45 Colt as the Model 1909 U.S. Army, Marine Corps Model 1909, Model 1909 U.S. Navy and in .45 ACP as the Model 1917 U.S. Army.

Damn I feel stupid :p. I check like 3 time to be sure to not make this kind of mistake and I made it...

But, it will be nice to see this weapons for canada (with the .45 caliber) and for the british (.455).

hrhrhhrhr i cant wait to use that thing

Like this when you meet a panzershreck guy and he is shot by 5 bullets. He turns around and sees then the barrel of the M1917=
"uhuh. i know what you are thinking. Did he fired six times, or only 5? To be honest, in the excitement i lost count myself...
But this is a .45 ACP revolver, the most powerfull handgun on the westfront. Now let me ask you this= Do you feel axis biased? Well do you punk?"
-i am fairly sure that if they took porn off the internet, there would only be one website left and it would be called bring back the porn "Perry cox, Scrubs.

I don't like revolvers...

Also, a .45 ACP revolver will be less powerfull then a .45 ACP pistol so i take the Colt 1911 anyday, more power, more bullets, faster accurate shooting and faster reload.

Since Die Happy is hinting at stuff, can we tell them where to find it once 2.26 is released?

But did FH2 have plan to use this model for the m1909 for the canadian (with .45 caliber) and the british (.455) ?

I know (now) the US use it under the name M1917 revolver, but the british and canadien use it under the name m1909 revolver.

It would be in name only, since all three calibres would be approximated by the .45cal projectile.
