Use Firefox... ;)
Same story. Only..
*Laughs ironicly
Internet explorer doesnt have it ;D
-
*Gasps* The Horror!!
Firefox has some "apps" or what not that should block them, as that's what I'm running and don't have the problem.. I think it's called 'adblockplus'.

Good boy, I'll get back to you ;)

I dont see ads at all.
On this version of Chrome, I only have the app Collusion for Chrome installed.
-
Firefox + Adblock Plus + NoScript. I've not even seen a Youtube video ad.
-
I heard ads are customized for the interests of the consumer these days ;D
Anyway, isn't there any kind of adblock program for chrome around ?
If you really don't find a solution seriously think about changing the browser to firefox. You don't even need adblock to prevent this kind of ads, but just get it and you are rid of all the evil ads on the internet, it's great.
Here a link for adblock plus if you are interested:
https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/adblock-plus/ (https://addons.mozilla.org/en/firefox/addon/adblock-plus/)
-
Theta, I use Chrome, but I don't see any ads, especially on the forum. Maybe you have caught some rogue add-on? To tell the truth, my Chrome is of Linux breed and with Adblock Plus installed (yeah, there is Chrome version of it).
-
Get Firefox and adblockplus and it'll kill all stupid ads.

Opera. Done.

In the worst case it is adware or simply malware, but it might be a browser plugin as well. Somtimes installed with freeware software like a toolbar or installed by fraudulent ads. Somebody makes money with you getting paid for all these ads he is showing you.
You should check your browser for addons or extensions causing this. It might be listed as ordinary software somewhere giving the chance to uninstall or disable.
Otherwise you can try to kill everything guns blazing using spybot and ad aware. Friendly fire possible.

Goddam hipsters everywhere...
Yeah, that's definitely either adware, malware, or a chrome addon installed because theta doesn't know how to use computers and just clicks "Yes" & "Next" on every screen that he sees.
Chrome + AdblockPlus + some other extensions = best experience.

Opera has a lot of incompatibility issues that puts it worse than IE 7. OMG, why some people still use it? The only advantage it offers is just unnoticeable increase in browsing speed. Nothing else.
I generally use Firefox as my regular browsers and have Chrome installed for browsing silly webpages.

Stuck in late 90's are we? :P

Or rather, because it's not a slow and crash-prone beast like Firefox.
-
Both Chrome and Firefox murder most ads with AdBlockPlus installed. If you want to be even more extreme, then you can install NoScript which pretty much disables any kind of flashy thing on all sites, unless you accept it yourself.
-
Sounds like you got something nasty installed. Ads normally don't do anything with the content, not like this. Better check your Chrome and Firefox extensions, but considering it does this on both browsers, you either click "yes" and "I agree" a lot, or you got something else installed, outside the browsers.
The reason it doesn't do it with IE is because that can't be made any worse...
-
I suggest downloading an anti-spyware program and run a check with it.
A common and free but decent program I know is SpyBot Search & Destroy (http://www.safer-networking.org/index2.html)
-
I got the same, it's called ''Text Enhance''. Some kind of third party app or malware I don't know.
It is bloody annoying though. Would love to find a way to get rid of it.

On my laptop, I have Noscript installed for chrome. I havn't seen an ad since I installed it.

Opera runs fast, has a built in adblocker, and has superior tab management (sheer number of open tabs and also tab stacking).
Plus you get the hipster cred. >_>
-
Still, the inability to run a lot of applets and scripts correctly, not to mention page content layout errors you get, simply makes the hipster card less valuable than a cup of americano (overglorified coffee and water).
-

Where/when is all this happening? I have been using Opera for only 9 years so maybe that's the reason why I have missed it. :p
By the way, does the crashing flash still crash also firefox and chrome? ;)
-
Firefox gets heavy and slow, even slower than BF3 at full settings if you browsed for more than 5 hours consecutively.
Opera is not good for office uses, they cannot run MySAP, ERP applets, and other web-based application interfaces, to the point it is frustrating, because when you see Google Chrome runs them well, you started to all rage.
Chrome on the other hand, automatically downloads and installs unwarranted programs without warning or notification.
I have all 3 of them, and also IE9, to run apparently fascist corporate HR/ERP/Reporting apps, because they seem not to accept anything else besides IE.
-
Chrome + adblock is the best thing wich ever happened to me.
-
I don't get ads that would bother me too much with Opera. I follow quite many Youtube and Twitch channels so I wont use softwares like adblock, because I like to support the people who produce free entertainment for me.
-
Actually ad-blockers can do little when you install a plugin to your browser causing this.
