Hi everyone,

most of you have seen this - you get shot by a rifle and fly ten feat in the air. This should be fixed! It's horribly unrealistic.

And furthermore: I always liked the ragdoll system, but it's not correctly set. The body always seems to have a weight of like 30KG, like a full bag of potatoes rather than a 75KG body! No dead body slides down from stairs either. It rolls down yes, but not slide. As a matter of fact, since the weight is incorrectly calibrated gravity wouldn't drag the body down in the first place. Or have it roll over a bit after being shot by a strong 'wind', appearently.

These are small details but highly regarded to FH's aim for realism don't you agree!

Thanks!

These are BF2 issues not FH2 issues for the most part.

The ragdoll effects are not possible to corect due to engine issues within BattleField 2, once EA releases the code to the engine then it may be possible to fix

Hey man, I'm sure they can afford to hire at least ONE geek who can crack that. A shame though, because these ragdoll physics contribute nothing but lameness to this beautiful mod!

Yes, because the FH2 Devs "hire" people.  Don't you see all the money the Devs are rolling in?  It's wonder they ever get anything done, what with all the temptation to purchase a small country with all the money they make with FH2.  ::)

Also, I'm pretty sure "cracking" the source code would violate something in some user agreement somewhere, giving EA/DICE all the incentive they need to shut down FH2 forever.

That was a joke just for laughs.  ::)  ;)

On the side though, this mod is very popular, high quality and getting a lot of attention from both gamers and media. Surely there should be a way to gain financial support.

I think it would be possible once they release the code for the engine like how they release engines on moddb, usually in agreeing to use the engine you are allowed to make money up to a certain amount. Once you exceed that amount, the parent company comes knocking on your door and asks for a percentage of the money earned from then on.

The FH Devs weren't even allowed to sell DVDs with FH1 on them at cost, they got threatened with a lawsuit.

FH can never make money as long as it's on an EA/DICE engine unless EA/DICE hires the FH2 Devs and pays them to make and release a Commercial Forgotten Hope.

Well I was thinking more in the ways of advertisements or something. Something that could be done right now. It's just a waste of attention and they could use the cashflow to improve the mod further.

Moreover, wheres that donate button anyway?

But I do feel it's important that the mod stays non-profit as it could discourage the progress, right now everyone is contributing out of their heart and that's just the most beautiful thing.

Did you even read what I said?  The FH2 Devs can never receive a single penny for FH2 or else they will get sued to hell and back by EA.

Yes I did and gracefully ignored it!

You're talking like you know whats what but really you're no lawyer.

I'd like to hear one of the devs clearing this up..

Anyway, stop your whining already. Back to bed now!

Forget about it Ionizer. Just watch that tone before you piss more people off.

In any case, if it can't be achieved so be it.

Aight!  ;)
