You can't enter the guns, and yes, this is the 64 player version.  The 32 player version is just plain conquest, but doesn't feature the cliffs.

i'm sure we will, one day, fire these sweet 155MM guns.

The calibre 155MM and around this calibre, where very common in the war.

Great thread! It´s extremely infortmative and gives us great insights in this new map.
I really hope we see more guides to the new maps ;)
Oh, btw, can it be that the Normandy release is pretty close? I haven´t been very active in the past weeks and missed some things because basic training takes alot of my time...

Yes now the rains weep o'er his hall,
and not a soul to hear.

Don't let us stop you from trying TAO ;)

Guns can't be fired no.

This is the 64player version of the map, but besides that one there is also a 32player version of the map with Germans counter attacking.

Zweig seriously, 4 155mm guns, imagine the artillery rapage? These guns where originally installed at PdH but hidden for air assaults etc. So no you can't fire them  :P
Yeah kinda figured, but you never know what those jerrys are up to!

Okay! :) finally the objective mode will be put to use!

I'll just blame the devs, he's not the only one who was shocked :)

For melting the guns, duh.
But i wanna trow it at Lafette's and Germans!

You actually can hurt someone with those things, but that would be very lucky and doesn't do much damage.  :)

I can only guess that Pointe du Hoc isn't bot surported as i guess they can't cope with the grapling hooks, thermite grenades etc.

Seeming as i've often been assaulted by enemy bots weilding field dressings LOL  ::)

Soo... will the Germans be repelling the actual climbing bit?  Chucking stick grenades and cutting ropes, all that stuff?

No, you'll just wait for them to climb up and then shoot them back to the beach. If you get to close to the beach you are a traitor, sunning on the beach is for traitors, coward, communists, gipsies and jews said Hitler.
