StuG IV from swamp restored to running condition

Late series StuG IV recovered from swamp under bridge in poland (2007-2008). Now polish restorers return this baby to running condition!

Fantastic. You see T-34s and shermans being brought back to running condition alot

But to find a german tank AND to bring it back to its running condition

Simply 10/10 my polish friends.I'm visiting Poland next year, so i hope they have this beauty released for the public to watch

Can someone who speaks polish tell me if they have an original engine in there? Maybe someone of the community could visit these guys and record the engine sound to implement it in fh 2  ::)

Inside original Maybach 120 TRD. But need to remember - sound of StuG IV with late exhaust system different.

some guy posted it before, and on his article he posted, they said that the engine was the origenal one

It's so amazing how these two factions (German and Polish) could have hated eachother so much only 60 years ago, and now here they are restoring one another's tools of war. Amazing restoration. ;D

It is just unbelieveable how deep it was sunken into the ground. The whole is like 10 meters deep. I wonder how they found it at all. Must have been a very lucky incident.
