Just a Quick quetion

Why do a lot of mods for older games not have reload animations?
For example, City Nights, Modern Warfare (both MOHAA mods) Just a question though

because FH2 feels more like a game then a mod.

Its like C&C Renegade with the W3D engine

But only 5 of them are big, standalone projects. Wich feel and play like an actuall game themself

Exactly. For BF1942 nobody went in depth on animations. There was no good IK setup to export them from. For BF2 we have really good setups for animating. BF2 animations are also simplified quite a bit. Also a shift in priorities has caused this. Not to mention players now a days demand the visual aspects be perfect. Lacking animations is much more noticeable in BF2 then in BF1942 for example.

You mean lacking animations in BF1942?

I saw more weapons lacking of specific animations in FH1 than in FH2. The PPSH was reloaded Thompson SMG style, so the animation looks like the hand grabbing invisible stuff. Same with rifle, you see the hands putting the rifle down so we can't see what is being done, and all of the sudden it is back with full ammo (sometimes with awkward glitches like the hand grabbing the top of the rifle, instead of holding the bottom.

Moreover, what makes me like FH2 so much over FH1 is the rifle-grenade launcher animation. Yeah! The grandpa of M79 and M203 nade-launcher is so awesome!
