Sorry to say but 'Sniper's Last Stand' in MOHAA was an completely made up scenario  :P
Anyway,
pick-up kits is the way to go, I do hate though when you have to make your way high up in a tower etc. to get your scoped rifle and then back down again, because usually those spots are very well known  ;)

Bug Reporting / Re: King tiger too low in front

Do you know what was the strategy to blow up a KT ?
I suppose that tankers were likely to avoid engaging such a tank frontally.
I'm not an expert at all in real life tank fighting, but I guess that flanking attacks were highly recommanded, even if a Cromwell was able to penetrate the turret (whish I guess was really hard to manage, unlike in the game).
The strategy was to fall back
then the KT would follow them and break down  ;D
Yes, most common practice was to avoid the Tigers, and it worked out quite well.
Less than half of all Tigers lost were due to enemy fire (45% among the Tiger Battalions)
During Ardennes Offensive, 13 King Tigers were lost to enemy fire and 12 because of other reasons.

It's not like all the ammo, fuel and crew sits in the turret, but indeed turret penetration disable a tank aswell.

I'm quite amazed we already have gone this far off-topic...
Let's sort...
Drunken Lainer and wife(?) off-topic - stay away!
Tiger commander, now working as pharmacist - on-topic.
Nazi...I hope none of them are.
Please stay on topic now or go away  :)

Simply undeploy and deploy for targets out of reach (side or behind) could also work, the only problem is that target spamming you get - you recieve a target, deploy, the the spotter die and you got a new one beside or behind and then he die... :-X
Solution to that would maybe be to stay far away from action on large maps, but then you lose the point of self-propelled artillery  :-\

Can't they just function like the portable mortars?
The difference is that you drive and park it instead of carrying it around  :)

I HATE those second wreck explosions!!
Yes, tanks could explode more than one time due to fuel and ammunition, but it should not be like now,
now they explode and disappear every time like some fucking stamped down evil mushrooms from Super Mario.
I think they should just fade sway, at least until something better is found out.

« on: 27-07-2010, 20:07:09 »
Battle of Königsberg and Seelow Heights are unrelated to eachother, two completely different locations.
Anyway, Königsberg would in the very far distant future maybe be a good 1945 street-fighting alternative to Berlin, the town Königsberg itself was heavier defended than Berlin and many Russians also regarded it a more valuable victory than Berlin.

Looks like a great map, I hope the view distance will be longer/less foggy than Operation Cobra  :)
