Come on they only got one right now. Two and anotherone in the main base wouldnt hurt. You can kill the snipers quite easly with arty.

Needs some biplanes for the Italians to counter those biplane bombers the British have.

But in the real battle they didnt AFAIK. Needs more AA guns...

Well, I'd beg to differ on that issue. Every time an airplane takes off, it get's shot down like one minute later...

On another note, I just noticed that there are numerous large spots on the map no ambient sounds. Absolutely none at all. In my opinion, this is this great maps biggest flaw.

2.46 changelog for Battle of Keren 64

  • Increased the tickets number from 600:400 to 800:600 to allow the battle to reach the second half of the flags.
  • New sniper pickup kit for the Italians - the captured Pattern rifle + the usual Italo-German stuff.
  • Added 2 pickup sniper kits at Mt Sanchil and Keren (as requested by hyperanthropos).
  • The minefields: moved all mines behind the mine signs, removed a couple of mines completely outside of the minefields, closed few gaps (reported by x4fun ODIUM).
  • Decreased the volume of the jungle cacophony ambient by 30%.
  • Many cosmetic fixes, including the floating stuff reported by Jimi Hendrix.

Last time I played this map the increased tickets helped to have it play to its fullest extent :) great job

Any chance of a repositioning of the Italian howitzer? Trees block 1/4 of all spots I get in that thing, and then when the enemy is approaching Trainstation there's a load of buildings in the way of direct fire.

2.5 changelog for Battle of Keren 64

  • The first 2 flags - Agordat and Agordat Trainstation, are a sector now: the Italians can recapture any of the 2 flags, but as soon as both are owned by the British, the sector gets locked.
  • The Italians now can recapture Ascidera Valley if Fort Dologorodoc is still in their hands.
  • Moved the AA Breda gun at Mt Sanchil uphill, to a position providing better field of fire.
  • Fixed the British AT rifle kit having no "LIMITED" in its name on all layers.
  • Improved lighting for trees and other cosmetic fixes affecting all layers.

Sorry, guys, still no luck in finding a better place for the Italian Cannone da 105/28 artillery piece at Keren Trainstation.

Hi, I have 1 small issue about object placing:

one of the tanks is positioned in a way that you drive right in front of the arty -- in the last keren game I was using arty and someone accidentally drove in front of me, so I almost TK'd him (remember you are in arty cam and are not paying attention to what is happening there). funny enough, a bit late in that same round I was tired of arty and eventually took that same tank, and almost got me TK'd as well (even though I was complaining about this a few minutes earlier eheheheh) , but when rushing tanks out to battle you forget that.

could the tank spawn be moved to sit next to the truck/uni-carrier in the same screenshot to avoid the tank being shredded?
