  Playing COD5 splitscreen with some friends and it shits itself and died.  Just a flashing red LED.  Never really been big into the console bit until these last couple of months.  Just got 4 new games and a couple controllers so I could play 4 player splitscreen with friends and it dies.  Ahh well it was one of the original 60GB ones that I bought in 2006 and have left on almost every day for 10+ hours.  So I guess I got my moneys worth.



If I can't get it working by re-flowing around the cell processors I guess I am boned until I can get the cash for a new one.   :'(

I got a 360, but will likely get a PS3 when I get a job and a steady income. Right now I can not even remotely afford one.
Just curious, I've heard a lot about the PS3 being much more quiet than the 360, any truth to this? need to really increase the sound on the tv when I play/watch a dvd on it. Otherwise the movie/game will drown in the xbox-sounds.

The sound on PS3 is quieter but the online isn't as good as the 360's because its free so they dont make servers fast for finding games (as least not for CoD 4 but thats all I play on my ps3 so dont let that discourage you!)
