After figuring out how to allow more vehicles in a map/remove respawn timers/customize stuff it really makes the game unlike any other game out there (Battlefield, Heroes & Generals are sort of similar in mechanics and sheer amount/scale but Forgotten Hope 2 is just better in every way than those games, at least to me.. heh).

Love the cinematic look when the columns advance!

I can't really think of any game that gives this kind of gameplay, in this manner... ?
Iron Front came close but the troop numbers were too little, and there were too few vehicles around (IMO)

Oh, and messing with the game files you can give yourself pretty much any weapon or vehicle you want, quite easily. However, this is only for singleplayer! i also did an edit in which I made the StG44 behave more like it does in other "shooter games", giving it considerably less recoil when aim/zoom firing, which feels great!

Singleplayer and Coop / Increase amount of Fireteams?
« on: 11-05-2021, 22:05:42 »
Howdy great peeps,

Is there a way to play with more fireteams in a match?
I've got a lot of bots but there's not enough fireteams for them.

Is there way to increase the fireteam limit?

Howdy great peeps,

I'm wondering if the bots follow the commands/requests you can give/do?
I know that ordering fireteams to defend areas works, as they will gather there.

Just wondering if orders such as "Request Pickup" or "Request Reinforcements" works.

The AI in general seems to be well scripted/created!

Singleplayer and Coop / What AI skill level is 'best'?
« on: 11-05-2021, 19:05:00 »
Howdy great peeps,

I'm wondering what difficulty is best for the AI (0-100), the game defaults to 80.

The AI is pretty well done and do some actual tactics, but isn't there a certain AI skill level number to/for which the bots were created? Such as the bots being developed based around 100 orso? Or were they specifically tuned for each/certain levels? I tried playing on 100% AI difficulty, which makes them become super-snipers, and on anything below 30%-40% they become quite oblivious.

Would love to know this!

I've doubled the amount of vehicles on my favorite maps and increased the bot count to 128, it's so fun.
If you set the serversettings.con file(s) to read-only it makes crashes occur far less frequent (practically none).

I love this mod and the chaotic fights that happen, love love love it!

Howdy great peeps,

Many times when I am battling the AI I get shot by them quite a bit out of viewing distance by vehicles/tanks, even planes (especially on maps such as Bastogne), which has marked many battles in which I was completely confused and frustrated as to where the shots were coming from (as it happens way too often).

The weird thing is that if you look in the distance and make the camera's left or right edge point towards it, the fog somehow alleviates and makes the targets visible (which it doesn't if you look at that point where the camera is in general pointing) but it is really clunky and borderline not fun to play it that way.

Is there some way to disable the fog all together? Or whatever is preventing further distance viewing?

I can definitely see why it is applied in actual multiplayer, but I don't play it nor never intend to, plus if anyone knows a fix it should make flying a plane much more fun as you can actually then SEE targets in the distance which allows you to make an well-coordinated bomb/dive.

Have a good day!

Howdy ya'll!

I found out about the game via a friend (I love it! I play with 120 bots on small maps, very chaotic).

But something is really nagging me to no end, there is no 3rd person tank view?
I've looked around on the net and messed around with the game files, to no avail.

I can see why no 3rd person would be working for multiplayer, but I solely play singleplayer.

What do I need to do to get it working? Is it a parameter or something of the sort?
