What's the deal with BPM Omaha??
« on: 09-04-2010, 02:04:37 »
Is there anyone here who could provide some further insight into what appears to be the most popular map in FH2?

50+ ppl are playing it at the moment, compared to 33 on Hslan.

So any Brasileiros out there that can help us out?
My Quebec includes Canada

BpM is a brazilian site with tournaments, just like WAW and F|H, but we focus more on organization. We play custom maps made by our own community, BpM Omaha is the map of the SCRIM that will happen this weekend, I might record some stuff of the battle like I usually do, I'll post screenshots and videos here after the battle if you want.

Here's a promotional video of the tournament that starts this weekend:

Hi!

I'm a member of  the organization BpM and we are about to start a new tournament on FH2. That map, Omaha, will be used as a scrim.
Our server will be  in use only for the armies, but I can give you people the link for the map, if you wish.

If you guys have any interest in a game , some kind of scrim, we coud do it! How about it?

BpM Team Vs Forgotten Hope Team!

Could be great!!

Our website:

Cheers from Brasil!!!

I had no idea of such big brazilian base. It looks like it's even bigger than US one atm. Apparently there are many players in (both) americas timezone. Then why do we get so many "low player number" complaints?

I'm surprised as well. That promotional video looks superbly made.

Good recorded footage, good editing...nice postproduction. Makes 'our' videos look a little less pro ;)
Also wondering why the american timezone is so empty compared to European...

Good video, loved the plane actions.

Milton Gault roared, "Roffey, I know bloody well that Jerry knows we are here but you don't need to advertise the fact!"

I liked the video too, especially the plane stuff.

I have two remarks about it, though:

1) Several soldiers do stuff which doesn't look cool, like jumping when throwing a grenade. Everyone does it ingame (or at least a whole lot of them), but it looks silly on video.

2) Maybe I did something stupid on YT, but the AR is off. It looks like it was made for widescreen, but it is played out fullscreen. This makes scopes look egg-shaped instead of circular.

Good luck on the Brasil tournament!

You see, our server was empty for several months aswell, it's just that the advertising of the tournament is done heavily in all brazilian battlefield communities, and this is the 12th big tournament we make, so we already have a tradition and are pretty well known among the communities. Now that the activities of the current tournament have begun, you can expect to see our server full almost every day at night.

About the video, it was our first attempt at a serious promotional video, we still have much to learn, we had some problems like... I used Vegas to edit, but Guinter used After Effects, so we had some compatibility problems and stuff, but we surely will improve when we do another promotional video.
