Hi everyone,
I was hoping to play some FH2 today, but both myself and a friend were encountering the same issue when trying to start FH2.exe.
The error message was "An error occurred while verifying "username" GameSpy account: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond 62.141.236.61:29900"
Has anyone else experienced this and knows how to resolve? I do see people on the server browser, so apparently some people are able to connect. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yes I have problem with FH2server server too. I can get to the game and play offline,but when I want to log on to online profile,it says "Server refuses to connect"

Yup, account server is down. Will have to wait until the PR Devs can get it back up and running. Just sucks that it had to happen prime time on a Sat :/

So PR's master server is down but whatever the BF2 players are using seems to be up. Shouldn't FH2 think about switching to their thing? Afterall FH2 is still a mod of BF2 and has nothing to do with PR other than the shared master server.

That's rough news :/ this was one of the few weekends I could play FH2. Oh well...

A PR guy pays for the PR master server. I'm guessing he lets FH2 use the master server for free, which is a hard price to beat.

It worked for a few hours last night, but again this morning (GMT) it was down again. It would seem that the attackers have been at it again:(

Yesterday during late european evening times I could play. But server had only 40-45 people on it, so I guess some had still problems to connect.

Hey guys,
Here's how to play on 762 #4:
Get a new/neu forgottenhope2.exe from here: http://www.762-ranking.de/gamespy/ and put it in your Battlefield2 folder.
Rename your old one so that you can switch back when the drama is over.
In the launcher options login as "none".
You may have to create a new account on the login page.
