If you're gonna do anything on german generals, Manstein and Gudarian are the ones to go to.
But I must ask, are you focusing on high ranking generals, or also keen on the lower ranked ones? There were many, many great lower ranked generals in the armies.

It jumps around irl. Even blank fire ones, its impossible to keep on target after the first shot if you're trying to do incredibly rapid fire. That's going to be its downfall at long range. If you're trying to get off aimed shots at targets, it's just as good as a bolt action. It'll be the close range where it holds the advantage.
