I am sorry if my response is a little bit short, but I am quite tired by now. Let us start: As a matter of fact, the last major war on European soil was the Napoleonic war. By then, all of the big powers in Western Europe had settled their disputes and set their boundaries. In the Crimean War, you would even see France fight besides Great Britain. Then our German friends came into play in 1870 and finally cemented their unification in 1871.

If it was not for Emperor Wilhelm II. wanting to re-arrange this previous balance, we would not have seen many of the catastrophic events in the years to follow.

As for the natives, well, let us see, back then obviously they had to obey our orders and things were not always jolly. To-day, they are either starving, having coups and bloody civil wars, genocides and uprisings every other year or just prey upon each other. Terrible! They are absolutely un-able to govern themselves and love to create such lovely organisations such as Boko Al-Haram and ISIS. Of course, others like to split their nation and try to annihilate each other. Wait until they get atomic bombs! Ah, how brilliant this twenty-first century is - or maybe not.

As for the New Age movement, I consider it to be permeating all boundaries of modern life. It is the Un- or Anti-Christian aspect and apostasy, it is the way people vote, the music they listen to, the books they read, the way they form societal conventions, &c&c. Just because the New Age has resulted in the destruction of all people as well as things righteous and good does not mean that we may accept the evils of to-day. To-days power-hungry government and sick culture are the result of this. The supreme court of the United States of Africa has proven this quite recently. Honestly, I even think that I may even experience Christ's Second Coming during my life-time. All the signs are starting to show, all morals are thrown over board. I was shocked to find that so many people here reject our LORD so shamelessly.

In the end, many people may not be able to understand my points because we share close to no common values anymore.

Well, it is quite simple: Europe was rather well balanced before the creation of the German Empire. After WWI, centuries old orders were destroyed and that paved the way for all this New Age non-sense. Germans have always tended towards political extremes and an all-out democracy gave birth to the growth of both Nazism and Communism into dangerous proportions. Prior to that, the nobility and the old ruling class would smite and jail these clowns before they started battles in the streets. To-day, the overall political climate in Germany is very left. Even the CDU does not hold true to it's name anymore.

The over-seas territories brought a lot of wealth to European nations, whilst greatly improving living conditions for the natives. They needed attention, but if you can maintain peace in Europe you can station more troops abroad.

We are not supposed to be slaves of Brussles! Co-operation between EU countries is good, but this central government needs to go in the bin. Britain did not yield to the Nazis, so why should it partially surrender it's sovereignity now?

Discard all these young, foolish ideas and return to the way it was before!

The European Union in it's current form of existence is nothing but a nightmarish joke anyway. They remove our borders, introduce laws that we do not want and in general just try to turn Europe into one state eventually. Please keep Greece, we will crash much faster!

Each European nation should go back to their pre-WWI order and everything will be good. Just split the German Empire back into the German Conferderation and get back your respective over-seas territories. That way, the Africans will quit starving because suddenly they are ruled by capable, responsible leaders again and we get a huge amount of raw materials, diamonds, &c&c. Ah, what wonderful times those would be again, with HM the Queen holding the title Imperator Indiae! By breaking up Gerrmany, it will not try to "get their share" like in both World Wars.

A while back I changed my e-mail address on WWIIReenacting.co.uk and that resulted in the de-activation of my account. After e-mailing the moderators a few times, I have received neither a reply, nor has my account been rendered usable again.

I would therefore like to kindly ask if anyone on the forums is also registered over there, and if so, could bring this to the attention of their moderators so that they will get me back on-line? This is quite pressing since not only do I enjoy their community but I have a forum member waiting on a reply for quite a while now which I obviously cannot oblige him with.

I would like to thank everyone in adavance and would like to remind you that there are some things that I still have for sale, e.g. US uniforms and webbing, ammo boots, a slouch hat, &c&c.

I am sorry to say that Forgotten Hope has lost me to Verdun for now. That game is lovely! By now it has become a very polished and suprisingly accurate representation of the First World War. Any historical in-accuracies will be ironed out at a later point, awaking great expectations within me!

I still cannot believe how I got twenty-seven kills last night whilst dying less than ten times. That is what Forgotten Hope 2 single-player on high difficulty can train you for!

I need some advice here. I just decided to re-enact as an officer from now on. I would like to be actually capable of what a subaltern would have been back in 1914, but alas I cannot travel back in time and send out an application to Sandurst. Short of doing just that, could anyone point me towards a description of what was taught there back then? I have already acquired a digital copy of both the Infantry Training 1914 booklet as well as the 1914 Musketry Regulations.

Thank you, Hauggy! I wish I could mod, there is so much that I would want to see improved with regards to the Commonwealth, but the man power just is not there. I would also like to thank you for your link, there were some interesting photographs on it!

Is anyone around here active on the WWIIReenactinguk.co.uk forums? If so, please let me know. My account was de-activated because of an e-mail change. I really need to list a few things for sale on there urgently and their moderators do not reply to my e-mails. Thank you very much in advance!

Ah well, Chad, my dear fellow, do you have PayPal  ;D ?

By the way, the New Zealandean soldiers wear the very same uniform, so replacing the in-correct KD uniforms on Mount Olympus with the new improvised Service Dress would be accurate indeed. As soon as available, the slouch hat should be replaced with the New Zealandean "Lemon Squeezer" hat.

I do not want to be callous, but the current Khaki Drill uniforms are wrong, the mystery jacket should be replaced with a regular Khaki Drill shirt. Here is a WPG made shirt as a reference: http://onlinemilitaria.net/images/Aertex_Shirt.jpg

It would be nice to have the full sleeve length on some soldiers, preferably on the NCOs.

Again, I would like to thank you sincerely for this grand new addition to the Commonwealth forces and hope that once time permits, my suggestions may be considered.

Now, what really needs an overhaul very badly is the Webley Mk. VI. A re-skin of the SMLE would be wonderful, too. Somehow it seems a little bit artificial as of now, yet I cannot precisely tell why. Re-loading animations more in line with those of the G41 would be a valuable addition, too. The tip of the cartridge must be lifted for reliable loading.

The Boys AT rifle's animations are quite robotic and the bi-pod folds in after every shot.

I know that the developers are busy with other things, yet would I consider these to be quite pressing suggestions, too.

Modding / Re: What have you modded recently?

Khaki Drill shirts with shorts or trousers, as worn in NA, are correct. Later in the war, they were changing to green ones, either by boiling them with certain shrubs or by getting new, factory coloured uniforms. Proper headwear would be either the slouch hat or ghe Wolseley helmet.

Thank you so very much! That is one of the grandest updates in a long time! Please keep up the great work regarding the early war content. I would also like to ask for Mr. Baker's magnificent vehicle texture packs to be included in the next release.
